Sparkly + Chic Wedding in the Arizona Desert

Twelve years after they first met, Tori and Brian married on a stunning spring day among the cherry blossoms in New Jersey. Brilliant blue skies and the picturesque setting of The Spring Lake Bath and Tennis Club set the stage, and the couple selected a color palette of pink and green to echo the season. Tori is stunning in a mermaid gown by Mark Zunino from Kleinfeld with loose flowing waves styled by Michael Livesy. Continuing the pink theme of the day, bridesmaids mixed and matched gowns in shades from blush to copper, several donning metallic confections by Adrianna Papell. Perrine and Aaron’s timeless wedding in Columbus, Ohio, is one that’s just brimming with spring details! We love all of the pink and white in florals, especially the peony bouquets, from Flowers on Orchard Lane. The pretty pale colors are lovely with classic black bridesmaids dresses as well as Perrine’s Angel Rivera gown with pleated bodice. After the traditional ceremony at Saint Joseph Cathedral, guests made their way to The Country Club at Muirfield Village where they were wowed by the event design and planning by MMJ Weddings & Events. There, pops of deep blue—reminiscent of the color of Perrine’s Badgley Mischka shoes—joined more pink, white, and silver details to transform the reception hall into a beautiful backdrop for dinner and dancing. One of our favorite details is the bride, groom, and dog topper perched above the cupcakes from Nicely Made Cupcakes. We’re madly in love with these images from Jen & Jonah!

It’s always sunny in Arizona, and the aptly named Paradise Valley Country Club played host to Kelli and Jon’s beautiful autumn wedding, held on a glorious September day. The couple worked with The Flower Studio to create a classic atmosphere with a soft palette of ivory and a rainbow of purples from lavender to plum. The overall effect was stunning! Kelli’s Wtoo by Watters gown and the bridesmaids’ Jenny Yoo frocks were perfectly complemented by bouquets of dahlia, rose, thistle, and dusty miller, while Jon donned a Hugo Boss tuxedo. We’re loving all of the light and airy images by Amy & Jordan!

To say that Courtney and Kyle’s wedding day is beautiful would be an understatement: in fact, it’s positively glowing. The Carlouel Yacht Club played host to their celebration, held on a spring day full of sunshine, and the palm trees and elegant arbor from Florist Fire made for a spectacular backdrop for their ceremony on the lawn. The couple decided against a first look, instead seeing each other as they walked down the aisle, and Courtney says “Kyle’s reaction as I walked down the aisle was unforgettable. It still gives me butterflies!” Courtney always envisioned herself in lace for her wedding day, and a champagne-hued Anne Barge gown was the perfect selection. She is a radiant bride, and natural makeup from Lindsay Does Makeup only enhanced her picture-perfect bridal glow. Absolutely in love with the images captured on film by The Ganeys!

Kristi and Ryan’s beautiful garden-themed wedding was held at the picturesque Trilogy At Vistancia Kiva Club in Peoria, Arizona. The natural beauty of the location inspired the lush pastel color palette of the day. Working with Nicole Arend Wedding and Events, the couple brought to life the colors of a spring wonderland, with blush, lavender, and pale robin’s egg bridesmaids dresses from David’s Bridal and luscious garden arrangements from Ever After Florals, including a showstopping floral arch of hydrangea, garden roses, and swaths of eucalyptus. And, a seating chart on a faux greenery wall was the talk of the cocktail hour! Kristi is radiant in a Blush By Hayley Paige gown fit for a princess and flowing braided curls designed by Amanda Victoria Beauty. Dominique and Blake’s vision for their Scottsdale wedding was pure romance, and working alongside Jennifer Ellis of White House Design Studio, their ideas transformed into reality. The couple, dating since their sophomore year of college, were joined at the Omni Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Montelucia by family and friends who had watched their love blossom over the years. A vivid color palette of berry, wine, and ivory was selected to enhance the beauty of their desert setting, and White House Design Studio created arrangements overflowing with orchid, hydrangea, and magnolia leaves to festoon the ceremony arch and adorn the luxurious reception tables. In lieu of traditional place cards, guests received hand-calligraphed notes in ivory ribbon-wrapped boxes, the notes serving as a warm thank you from the couple for joining them to celebrate their special day. Ask Josy about the day of her wedding to Bryan and she’ll say it was “in one word, perfect.” The couple selected Miami’s Coral Gables Country Club for their romantic and intimate celebration, and the day was filled with love and laughter, along with many personal touches. In addition to lovingly creating the petal toss cones, menus, and rolled shawl favors, Josy and Bryan penned letters to each guest, delivered at the reception, a lovely and memorable gesture that we’re sure no one will soon forget. Josy adores flowers, and worked with Avant Gardens to create elegant blush and white arrangements for the reception, set atop glimmering mirrored tables, and a showstopping flower wall that served as both a ceremony altar and sweetheart table backdrop. The result was breathtaking! From the rose petals down the aisle to the sea of candles in the reception, every moment is romantic and timeless, and beautifully captured by Elaine Palladino!

Rebecca and Cory were married on a spectacular August day at the Wentworth By The Sea Country Club in Rye, New Hampshire. The couple selected a pretty, neutral palette of cream, gold, and blush, and after a ceremony along the water, moved inside the nearby reception tent for an evening of celebration with their nearest and dearest. Inspired by the waterside setting, the couple incorporated subtle seaside details into their wedding, including adorable oyster shell place cards with calligraphy by Honey Honey Calligraphy. Flower Kiosk created a mix of garland and traditional centerpieces with soft hydrangea and roses, and our favorite detail may just be the romantic swaths of greenery on the bride and groom’s chairs! The I Do Scene made sure that the day was more perfect than Rebecca and Cory could ever hope for, and every detail came together to create a day they will never forget. We are suckers for a sweet Southern wedding, and Salem and Clay’s North Carolina nuptials had us at hello! Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the genteel Roaring Gap Club is a spectacular setting, and the couple worked with Rebecca Rose Events to make full use of it, from their ceremony under the trees (with a kneeling bench that has been in Salem’s family for generations) to their romantic reception in the ballroom. Delicate blooms from Amy Lynne Originals in dainty depression glass vessels graced the tables, and we adore the gorgeous cake from Ketchie Creek Bakery. Salem’s bridesmaids were pretty as a peach in Donna Morgan frocks, and we love the sweet simplicity of her White by Vera Wang gown. The images from Ashley Caroline truly are a breath of fresh mountain air!

Braden and Adam describe their wedding as “elegant, classic, and fun” and we totally agree! After a week of non-stop rain, the clouds parted, the sun came out, and the weather was perfect for their big day at Basalt’s Roaring Fork Club. The mountainside ceremony setting is simply stunning, and a beautiful arbor accented with greenery by Carolyn’s Flowers was the only adornment needed. Virginia from Bluebird Productions made sure that the day went off without a hitch, and worked with Carolyn’s Flowers and Pink Monkey to pull together the gorgeous reception tent, with an elegant floral chandelier and drool-worthy centerpieces of lisianthus, garden roses, hydrangeas, dahlias, and orchids. We’re completely head over heels for these images from Kate Holstein!

Emily and Daniel’s classic Cincinnati wedding is full of stunning fashion: we are swooning over her Jenny Packham gown and Jimmy Choo heels, and the chic gray Amsale bridesmaids dresses. After a ceremony at Plum Street Temple, where Emily was walked down the aisle by her 94 year-old grandfather, everyone traveled to the beautiful Cincinnati Country Club for the reception, which featured sophisticated and personal details. A mountain laurel motif on the stationery by M. Hopple & Co. honored Emily’s late father, a horticulturalist, and Emily and her family canned jars of her grandma’s apricot jam as favors. Emily comes from a family of gardeners, and selected garden roses, dahlias, hydrangeas, and dusty miller for the lovely florals created by Del Apgar. We especially adore the touches of orchids on the escort card table! Viva Bella Events made sure things went off without a hitch, and we are head over heels for the gorgeous images by Clary Photo as featured in Issue 4 of Magnolia Rouge Magazine!

We love the classic Palm Beach feel of Amanda and Ryan’s wedding, even though it was held from the coast at the Piper Palm House in St. Louis. Pale pink bridesmaids dresses are soft and pretty next to Amanda’s mermaid skirt Lazaro gown—we love all of the sparkly beading! Cream and pink florals from MCK Designs dot tables for the reception, which also included elegant crystal and silver details for a classic affair that shines in these images from Lisa Hessel Photography. We love the sparkler exit to a vintage getaway car—a classic ending to a gorgeous day!

We have the most lovely and whimsical spring wedding today, that of Susan and David, two self-professed “hopeless romantics”! After discussing an elopement somewhere exotic, such as an African safari or scuba diving with turtles, they instead realized that they couldn’t imagine celebrating without their family and friends, and settled on one of their favorite vacation destinations, Aspen, Colorado. Aspen’s intimate, small-town feel was the perfect setting for their nuptials. Susan and David worked with Virginia and Kate of Bluebird Productions to bring their vision to life. A few non-negotiable elements—the color yellow, lily of the valley, and animals (don’t you just adore all of the gold animal figurines?)—came together with gorgeous spring flowers by Carolyn’s Flowers, the most beautiful seafoam green bridesmaids dresses from Shoshanna, and the gorgeous, natural setting of the Roaring Fork Club to create one of our favorite weddings! We love all of the unique and personal details and, of course, all of the beautiful images from Kate Holstein!

Lauren and Dallas settled on Chicago for the location of their wedding festivities, the place where they first met at Northwestern University. Together they chose Saint James Chapel for their traditional Catholic ceremony and Racquet Club of Chicago for the site of their reception. To tie in with the peach and gray decor scheme, bridesmaids wore strapless Donna Morgan dresses from Nordstrom, paired with peony bouquets from Fleur. Lauren’s embroidered Lazaro gown from Bridal Couture was a classic choice that sparkled with a beaded headband and jeweled shoes purchased from Etsy. A DIY seating chart, a project Lauren and Dallas completed together, set the scene for an elegant but personalized reception with lush florals, vintage touches like mercury glass, and a dessert by Cake on a shiny silver stand. Audrey and Patrick’s Arizona wedding at the Paradise Valley Country Club was inspired by the timeless elegance of Old Hollywood! Audrey chose a neutral color palette with lots of sparkle. We are head-over-heels for the mismatched metallic bridesmaids dresses and vintage accessories, and Audrey’s lace Allure Bridals gown, they are the epitome of glitz and glam! Beautiful florals from Petals and Lucy were housed in mercury glass vases and raised votive holders, which made the entire ballroom reception glisten. Kaitlyn and John’s Phoenix wedding, planned by Outstanding Occasions, was pretty pink perfection! Florals by Petal Pusher really knocked it out of the park, from the breathtaking ceremony canopy and lush bouquets, the stunning centerpieces and a sweetheart table almost completely draped in a blanket of flowers, to the petite wrapped bundles of flowers for guests as they picked up their escort cards! We absolutely love the touch of bling for the reception, it’s the perfect amount of sparkle for this fabulous fête. It doesn’t get any better than a gorgeous bride, stunning florals, fabulous accessories, and a beautiful venue, and Maryanne and Dan’s Arizona wedding was exactly that! Maryanne looks like a celebrity and how fantastic are her Badgley Mischka shoes? We’re already huge fans of Petal Pusher, and these stunning peach and orange florals are just incredible. A nod to Maryanne’s father who loved orange groves, the main color of their decor was orange with hints of blush and light green. I absolutely love the use of ferns and wood elements throughout their centerpieces too! “I felt lucky just to meet you and be your friend. And I feel even luckier to have married you and love you for a lifetime.”  Tanner and Rachel met on their first day of medical school and their friendship quickly turned into something special, and soon they found themselves gathering their closest family and friends for an intimate destination wedding at the Copperwynd Resort in Fountain Hills, Arizona, where Tanner spoke those words to his new wife.  I love the deep burgundy and plum flowers from Petal Pusher and the beautiful desert setting!  Rachel is a positively radiant bride, resplendent in her gorgeous lace Ulla-Maija gown, and these two are completely head-over-heels in love, as evidenced in the absolutely beautiful images from Melissa Jill.

I love it when I see weddings that I know will still be beautiful in ten years, twenty years, fifty years… Laura and AJ’s wedding is one of those that has a timeless quality to me – not only due to the gorgeous details, but also because of the beautiful images that were captured by one of my favorite people and photographers, Luke Walker from Clark+Walker Studio.

We love this absolutely classic féte hailing from an illustrious museum in our nation’s capital today. This Washington DC wedding was photographed by one of our favorites, Lisa Blume, and it is elegant and so special and timeless. According to Kelly, she couldn’t take her mind off of the National Museum of Women in the Arts’s design and sweetly, how she could picture traipsing down the staircase to meet her dear dad at the bottom to walk her down the aisle to her beau Jamie (tears!). Speaking of tears, we had to mention this touching detail. Kelly needed to have her grandmothers there in some way, so to commemorate these wonderful women in her life, she shipped in two paintings from North Carolina of them and had her grandmother’s tea cup in her bridal suite. Endearingly, the teacup was a gift her grandmother gave to her sister for her wedding.
