Romantic + Colorful Lake Tahoe Wedding

The stunning mountains of Beaver Creek Ski Resort were the backdrop to Jolyn and Andrew’s Colorado wedding. Although I’m not a fan of skiing (or really any activity that involves the cold), I adore the look and feel of mountain lodges and am in love with the gorgeous florals by Bella Fiori whose centerpieces of elegant blue hydrangea and burgundy dahlias were placed in natural bark-wrapped vases. I love, love, love this wedding and all of the wonderful photos by Rebekah Westover!

Dana and Steven were married at the historic Tranquility Farm in Purceville, Virginia. The beautiful vineyards and rolling hills were the perfect backdrop for their day. Stunning florals and greenery by Colleen Rogin West complimented the flora and fauna of the estate perfectly! Dana was stunning in her Maggie Sottero lace gown, while her bridesmaids donned pale blue chiffon bridesmaids gowns. We simply adore all of the sophisticated rustic details and the beautiful imagery from Nikki Santerre Photography!

Amanda and Mike’s vision of an intimate and elegant Arizona desert wedding came to life working with Tie the Knot by Tessa. The Boulders Resort was the perfect setting for their destination soiree, as Mike is an avid golfer and visits Arizona throughout the year. The couple selected their florals to represent the locale, and Butterfly Petals created gorgeous arrangements of succulents, greenery, and purple blooms, and boutonnieres of succulents with golf tees to represent their favorite hobby! Amanda’s Willowby gown stole the show, with its intricate back and lace details, and we are totally crushing on the bridesmaids’ BHLDN separates—the perfect modern and chic look. Magical and lovely, there may be no more peaceful setting than Atlanta’s tranquil Serenbe. The sustainable community was home to Chris and Megan’s gorgeous wedding, captured by the exceptional Melissa Schollaert Photography. Ashley Baber Weddings worked with Gloriosa to design a wedding that brought out the natural beauty of the surroundings, with greenery table runners, florals in shades of purple from lavender to violet, rustic wood tables, and chic modern touches such as the outdoor lounge area, sophisticated draping, and clean white calligraphy by MM Ink. Megan’s deep plum and garnet bouquet is the perfect complement to her effortlessly elegant gown from Bridals by Lori. We are spellbound by this beautiful soiree!

We can’t think of a more perfect rustic-meets-elegant venue than Sundance Resort in Utah—and Liz and Nick’s wedding at the mountain property is a little bit of both! With help from Brittany Farley of Something Blue Weddings & Events, the couple pulled off a flawless fete that incorporated organic, earthy elements and simple cream florals from Artisan Bloom, along with twinkling lights that glimmered in the snowy night. The salvaged wood beam mantel filled with hydrangeas, bark, and cream candles is our fave! Navy Nicole Miller bridesmaids dresses are lovely, while bright yellow Hunter boots add a punch of whimsy and color to the monochromatic palette. Liz’s Wtoo gown is gorgeous, and we’re absolutely in love with her brown fur shrug—elegant and practical in the snowy mountains! There is little that’s more stunning than a gold-and-orange hued autumn wedding, and Jenny and Brian’s affair at the Silver Lake Lodge at Deer Valley Resort doesn’t disappoint! Outdoors surrounded by Park City, Utah, mountains, the couple exchanged vows beneath a chuppah. Jenny wore an embroidered Heidi Elnora gown and, while she chose to keep things simple with no bridesmaids, the couple’s lab donned an orange bow tie and stood in for the occasion. Orange roses and calla lilies mixed with yellow and green florals and fall berries by Orchid Dynasty were rich and colorful in Jenny’s bouquet and on reception tables. Fiery blooms graced the cake from Deer Valley Resort, set amidst a gorgeous fall-inspired reception indoors, with flawless decor orchestrated by Soiree Productions. All of the images from Pepper Nix are simply breathtaking!

I simply love each and every little thing about this wedding, so I’ve been dying to show it to you!  Maggie and Jeremiah were married in an intimate little wedding at the Sonnenalp Resort in Vail.  I immediately fell in love with the lush and colorful flowers from the always-fantastic Alicia of Bella Fiori and their vibrant hues of peach, pink, green, and blue. Vail, with its glorious mountains and village full of character, was the perfect backdrop for all of the charming details.  Maggie is a resplendent bride, and I especially adore her vintage cathedral length veil, her mother’s from her own wedding.  The talented and sweet Jamee Photography captured all of the gorgeous images, and since I know you love this one just as much as I do, you can view even more of this beautiful wedding in the gallery!

Sara and Conner met while were both were on vacation in Nashville. There was an instant connection, and after spending as much time together as possible during that trip, they began dating long distance and were married at Nashville’s Cedarwood just over a year later. Their festive, intimate dinner party was a nod to Sara’s Southern roots. Magnolia leaf place cards were set atop each place setting on long wooden tables where each flower was handpicked by the bride. The couple’s monogram was sprinkled throughout, even on the wreath above the historic home’s door. From their ceremony on the rolling hills of the estate to the reception glimmering with candlelight, we are smitten with this entire day, beautifully photographed by Erin Lee Allender!

Erin grew up spending summers nearby Horseshoe Bay Resort, so when selecting their wedding venue, she and Alex knew it would be the perfect choice! Situated an hour outside of Austin, the picturesque lakeside location is naturally gorgeous, and the couple selected their color palette of French blue and sage green based upon the surroundings. Working with Eclipse Event Co., Erin and Alex formed a cohesive vision: clean, classic, and welcoming. Erin shares “I wanted elegant yet un-fussy florals, which Gypsy Floral and Events translated into works of floral art.” With painterly arrangements set inside ginger jars and a showstopping hanging arrangement adorning the ceremony pavilion, we have to agree that these florals are heavenly! Meghan says “I was never the girl that had dreams of my wedding and had everything planned out! But I did come to the realization, very quickly, that I wanted it to be simple, elegant and FULL of candlelight.” With this simple but classic ambiance in mind, Meghan and Josh enlisted NK Productions Wedding Planning to bring their vision to life. The couple fell in love with the ornate details of The Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club. The resort reflects the grandeur of a golden age, and NK Productions and Victoria Blooms accentuated the venue’s charm with florals of ivory and white set in glittering gold vessels, loads of candlelight, and a spectacular ivy ceremony backdrop that was the perfect setting for the couple’s outdoor ceremony. Binaryflips Photography captured the simple, modern elegance to perfection and we know you’ll be as smitten as we are!

Kathryn and Mark’s wedding was inspired by roots and wood grain, a metaphor for putting roots down: the strength and malleability of wood and the importance of building something with a strong foundation together. The couple illustrated the theme in creative and meaningful ways, from the wooden invitations by Spilled Ink Press to wooden tables and barnwood planter boxes handmade by the groom’s father and laser-cut place cards for each guest. The wide-plank floors and floor to ceiling windows of The Chapel at Montage Palmetto Bluff needed no decoration, but Kathryn and Mark and Spencer Special Events left not a detail uncovered in the spectacular tented reception. Em Creative Floral created chandeliers dripping with greenery and centerpieces of lush, snowy white blooms provided a gorgeous soft contrast to the wooden and metallic elements featured throughout. Their wedding day is full to the brim with special moments and it is beautifully captured by Jennings King Photography!

Nestled approximately 30 minutes, but a world away, from downtown Atlanta is Foxhall Resort, and the tranquil setting provided a perfect backdrop for this classic and romantic inspiration shoot designed by Evermore Weddings & Events. A palette of slate blue, blush, peach, and green created a soft but elegant ambiance, and a blush Hayley Paige gown stole the show! Hacman Floral created a showstopping pastel bouquet to accompany the bridal look, which featured soft, modern hair and makeup from Elizabeth Sloan Beauty. The result is an absolute fairy tale! Beautiful details such as a rounded ceremony altar, elevated greenery centerpiece, and a custom peach cocktail by Lyght House Cocktails complete the scene. We are completely spellbound, as always, by the images from the incredibly talented Brandi of Alexis June Weddings!

Rachel and Clark were married on a crisp, clear Alabama winter day. After attending a number of wonderful but scorching summer soirees, the couple selected January 23rd (1/23!) for their nuptials, and after they chose the date, they realized that the “stars” were literally aligned for the occasion: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn were in perfect alignment! Whether it was due to the celestial phenomenon or the flawless execution by Invision Events—or both!—their day went off without a hitch. After a private ceremony in their church during winter’s golden hour, the couple and their guests made their way to the Birmingham Museum of Art, where everyone enjoyed fantastic food from A Social Affair and danced the night away to the Chad Fisher Group. We love the unexpected color palette of marsala, ice blue, and ivory, brought to life in exquisite florals from Buffy Hargett. Many of the larger arrangements featured unusual combinations such as kale, turnips, pomegranate, and quince, which blooms only in January! Clair and Michael chose the intimate setting of North Carolina’s The Farm at Old Edwards Inn for their August destination nuptials. Nestled in the magnificent Blue Ridge Mountains, the inn provides panoramic views and an elegant, earthy atmosphere. The couple worked with Floressence Flowers to design a ceremony and reception that accented the breathtaking surroundings. A breezy tent adorned with gold chandeliers and a chic aisle garland played host to the heartfelt ceremony, where guests were welcomed with a sign hand-lettered by Clair’s best friend and bridesmaid, Lauren. After a cocktail hour (complete with a boat of beer!), guests were ushered into the barn where the rustic setting was elegantly appointed with gracious farmhouse tables, taper candles, ivory blooms, gold mirrors, and greenery galore. Clair and Michael are Kentucky natives, and Clair surprised Michael with a Kentucky groom’s cake surrounded by Kentucky’s best bourbon! The last warmth of summer and the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains set the stage for Jenna and Jason’s magical Colorado wedding at The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch. The couple selected a color palette of rose quartz and burgundy, but the beauty of the mountain venue shone the brightest of all. Park Floral Design created beautiful arrangements with blush roses, burgundy dahlias, and lush greens, with flickering candles and linens from La Tavola. Jenna and Jason shared memories from their childhood and families at each table, including a heritage table honoring their parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. Flowing BHLDN frocks in the lightest mauve were dreamy against the rustic landscape. We are simply head over heels for each gorgeous image from Danielle DeFiore!

When asked to describe their wedding, Margaux and Mark’s instant sentiment was “heartwarming.” While they certainly filled their day with personal touches—including a custom monogram motif, Mark’s great-grandmother’s cake knives, and a menu hand-scripted by Margaux’s aunt—the wedding festivities, and being surrounded by their nearest and dearest, took center stage. Margaux is resplendent in a Pronovias gown and voluminous veil from Elizabeth Johns. For the cozy reception, Jennie from Love N’ Fresh Flowers created classic, seasonal arrangements in a mix of plum and winter white that accented the gilded ballroom of Whitehouse Station, New Jersey’s Ryland Inn. After a delicious sit-down dinner, guests danced the night away to the tunes of The Silk Band. An unexpected snowstorm the day prior set the stage for a bright and clear first day of spring, the perfect ambiance for each of the gorgeous images from Love Me Do Photography!

Lauren and Cheyne were married on a picture-perfect Arizona day at the gorgeous Encanterra Golf and Country Club. Their classic outdoor wedding was inspired by the architecture and beautiful surroundings of the venue. A neutral color palette of ivory, champagne, and gold was accented by accents of pale pink and peach, and Jenny Yoo ‘Annabelle’ gowns in a lovely shade of eggplant provided a vibrant pop of color! We adore the beautiful marigold calligraphy escort cards and menus from The Pretty Paperie Shop. Modern centerpieces from Designer Venues dressed the tables, and hand-painted wine bottle table numbers added a personal touch. Each image from Rachel Solomon is breathtaking!

Classic and timeless, Emily and Augie’s wedding at the Bel Air Bay Club all about tradition and elegance. We adore the sophisticated fashion (how lovely is Emily’s Moonlight Bridal gown?) and stunning setting, but truly fell in love with their Pacific Palisades wedding’s personal details. It was important to Emily and Augie to celebrate not only their nuptials, but also honor their families, and they did so by creating a unique and personal reception table dedicated to mementos from the weddings of both of their families’ past generations. The couple worked with Modern LA Weddings to craft a soft and romantic reception, highlighted with pops of cobalt and featuring delicate blooms from Peony & Plum. This was such a fabulous party that not even an earthquake during the reception could stop the dance floor grooving to tunes spun by Red Shoe LA. We’re smitten with the gorgeous images from Lane Dittoe!

We fell head over heels for Anna and Ryan’s Austin wedding at the quaint Winfield Inn the moment we set eyes upon it. The venue’s magnificent architecture, towering oak trees, and lush landscape is full of romance. Anna is a vision in a classic Justin Alexander gown from Blue Bridal Boutique, her fabulous bouquet of burgundy and blush dahlias, garden roses and ranunculus by Lee Warth Floral Design a perfect complement to the delicate off-the-shoulder bodice of the gown. Modern calligraphy details from Whitney Farnsworth added a touch of vintage glamour to the day, which was capped off with a lovely cake from Josephine Brent Custom Pasteries. No one does a pretty mountain wedding like the amazingly talented Michelle Leo Events and it’s easy to see why this summer Park City stunner is a favorite! The picturesque Montage Deer Valley was the setting for Joe and McKenzie’s summer soiree. With a pastel color palette ranging from powder blue to soft blush and texture galore, the wedding’s design is all about classic romance. After an outdoor ceremony in the glorious Utah sun, guests moved inside and were greeted with a cozy reception room, featuring taper candles, luxurious rosette table runners, and garden-style arrangements from Urban Chateau Floral. Perhaps our favorite details? The delicate gold glass chargers and rose gold flatware. We simply adore the beautiful setting and lovely images from Shannon Elizabeth Photography!
