Destination Wedding at Italian Villa

The stunning Condado Vanderbilt Hotel San Juan, Puerto Rico hosted Karen and Nick’s intimate destination wedding, planned from afar by enlisting the help of AMK Events! Karen says “Anne Marie made planning our wedding a dream and connected us with such a fantastic team of professionals”, including the fabulous Anabelle Barranco of STEM Events! The event was relaxed but romantic, with bridesmaids in white gowns of their own choosing, and Karen is a positively exquisite Anna Maier gown with intricate beading and chic short sleeves. The entire day was a family affair, with the couple’s youngest son walking Karen down the aisle to Nick, and their eldest throwing rose petals. Karen’s family is from Puerto Rico, and her aunt created a traditional Puerto Rican wedding cake, and even a second cake with guava filling that had guests lining up for more! Picture it: Brooke and Kyle’s fall wedding with sunset colors. Think rich oranges, deep purples, and warm yellows. It’s only fitting since they’re two of the most vibrant people you’ll ever meet! Their love shines through everything they touch, and their wedding day is no exception. The crisp autumn air is filled with laughter, music, and the sweet smell of pumpkin spice. Every detail is perfect, from Brooke’s stunning bouquet to Kyle’s dapper suit. And as the sun sets on their special day, the sky transforms into a work of art, with hues that perfectly match the happy couple’s personalities. This wedding is one for the books, and Brooke and Kyle will always remember the way their love lit up the world that fall evening.

It’s that time of year again where love is in the air and wedding bells are ringing! This summer, Alex and Jon will be tying the knot at the stunning Briarcliff Manor. The scenery alone is worth the RSVP, but knowing Alex and Jon, we can expect nothing short of a great time. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of their special day? It’s sure to be a wedding for the books. So, grab your dancing shoes and practice your best toast because we’re in for a night of romance, laughter, and unforgettable memories at Briarcliff Manor.

Avery and Chris met at law school in Alabama but then moved to Georgetown where they continued to fall in love with not only each other, but with DC as well, so it’s no surprise that when they started planning their wedding, they wanted to share those loves with all their friends and family! It was an amazingly elegant weekend, starting with a gorgeous rehearsal dinner on Friday evening, and then a Saturday reception at Potomac View Terrace (APHA) where guests enjoyed incredible views of the Lincoln Memorial and Capital Building. They went with a classy and chic monochrome palette of ivory and gold for their tablescapes, incorporating both tall and short arrangements of white hydrangea, roses, and flowering branches from Duran Floral Design. It’s no small feat to transform the indoors into the outdoors, but when Whitney and Steven wanted their museum wedding to have a natural garden vibe, Ann Travis Events helped them do just that. Together, they created an environment that was relaxed and fun with a reception layout encouraging guests to mingle, sample foods brought in from all over the city, and even tour the museum on their own, all under the most lush and beautiful garlands of greenery woven into twinkling cafe lights. Studio Terrain not only worked their magic at the reception, but also in the stunning garden-inspired bouquets filled with dahlias, zinnias, roses, and Queen Anne’s lace, all in the softest shades of pink, peach, and ivory. Holly and Jacob chose the beautiful Grandeur House for their fall wedding and the all-white farmhouse was the perfect backdrop to highlight all of the personal details they chose for their event. Dusty blue tablescapes were warmed by centerpieces from A Pocket Full of Posies in hues of rust, burgundy, and orange, reflecting the fall foliage outside, and Holly’s mother used stained glass from churches hit by Hurricane Katrina to make beautiful glass flowers for the tables. Small magnolia and Japanese red maple trees were even placed in the space for the evening but then brought to the couple’s home to be planted as a memory of their big day! They did an amazing job incorporating family heirlooms into their celebration while also creating new heirlooms and Jessica Brown Photography captured each of those details perfectly!

Although Meagan and Christian live and met in Connecticut, the couple made the endearing choice to wed in Christian’s home state of Michigan. Meagan initially had her heart set on a farm wedding, but once she laid her eyes on Planterra, Meagan knew they had found the venue for their November wedding. They kept the color palette in line with the conservatory’s own tropical feel, choosing bridesmaids dresses from Madeline’s Daughter in sage green. Florals like white ranunculus, polo roses, and secret garden roses alongside feather eucalyptus and jasmine vine created an eden for the newlyweds and their guests. Our favorite detail, though, has to be the oversized white balloons added to the tables at the reception. Meagan wanted a unique detail that really stood out and we’re so glad Kelly Sweet Photography was able to capture that and all of the other gorgeous details of this wedding so beautifully!

Gina and Joe’s story begins like so many others in this generation: via a dating app and an awkward first date. Despite the fact Joe was not a Francophile and “avoided all of the French words” at the French restaurant they ate at, the pair met up again and the rest was history. Before they knew it, they were planning a wedding in Temecula’s wine country with Ashley Bee Photography documenting their day. Purple was common favorite color between the two of them, yet they wanted to break up the hues with various shades. Mauve, gold, and the deep brown wood interior at Wiens Family Cellar created a classic and rustic feel. Gina and Joe are fond of the outdoors, yet due to the weather and the season, they opted to stay warm and cozy inside. Despite this, they wanted to extract those aspects of the outdoors they love and add them into their indoor venue. Long, wooden tables mostly exposed with Sweet Flowers’ wildflower-esque creations gave this nature-loving couple exactly the motif they wanted, and it’s a treat for us all too!

Fall evokes the dreamiest of color palettes and also some of the most innovative pairings, we think. Brittany and Adam married near the tail-end of the fall season where society’s color palette has started gravitating away from oranges and bright reds into deeper tones. Darker reds and moodier colors like their choice of burgundy and navy blue are spot on for this time of year. We love how Elle and Jaye Events transformed JW Marriott Las Vegas into a romantic, fall wonderland with burgundy, gold, and navy blue woven together. With Susie and Will and all of the vendors strutting their best stuff for Brittany and Adam’s wedding, the result was exceptionally beautiful.

Meg and Ned envisioned their Connecticut wedding to be simple and elegant and with their fête being held in the middle of summer indoors, the possibilities were truly endless for them; which meant that Cassi Claire Photography was going to be in photography heaven with the amount of subjects to photograph. Shore Haven Golf Club was transformed with delicate colors and throughout the venue, a soft pale pink with the ever-popular complimentary colors of gold, white, gray, and navy blue were dotted all throughout. The key to really executing a plethora of colors together is to keep the palette simple, starting with an overall, main color that works effortlessly with the rest of them (like what Meg and Ned did with white). Utilize the rest of the color choices and pepper them all over the wedding in various areas. The blooms by Flowers by Justine were perfectly pink and white with a mix of gray planters and tall gold column stands and the groom and groomsmen were dapper in blue. A four-or-five color palette can be daunting, but with a little know-how and creativity, the shades will harmoniously work well together.

Almost instantly, a wedding in Washington, DC has visions of ultimate grandeur. Jen and Nick wed in the early spring at the Four Seasons and they left no stone unturned when it came to the ins and outs of their wedding design. Jen’s favorite blooms are the ever-stunning and lush magnolias and with that color inspiration as their jumping point, they coveted a white/ivory and green wedding with gold accents. Florist Amy from Amy Lauren Floral Designs expressed and continued the color palette by using sumptuous white peonies and white roses along with the glossy magnolia leaves. This wedding has too many impeccable elements to it, both in design and in personality. We’re just glad that Kristen Gardner captured all the splendor in full!

Audrey and David had the absolute privilege at marrying at a beautiful French chateau and with the smiles on both of their faces in various photos from Romain Vaucher, their day was beyond joyful and seeped out everywhere. After a proposal in Japan, the two found Chateau de Razay to call their wedding venue. Japan is near and dear to them, so they wanted to bring the colors of a Japanese spring to their wedding, using white and green with blush pink peppered across their decor. Their ceremony was steeped in Madagascan traditions in homage to David’s heritage. The groomsmen wore Malagasy hats and the service was conducted under the Madagascan church. For motif, we love they went simple with their colors; a chateau almost never needs any excessive decor and allowing the chateau’s present decor shine like Audrey and David did will create such a memorable experience.

Init and Eric’s beginning sounds like the sweetest Christmastime Hallmark movie. It’s complete with a serendipitous meeting at a restaurant, followed by a day date all around Detroit that ended with a knowing glance to one another that strongly stated they were made for each other. Swoon. Fast forward to their wedding planning, Init and Eric wanted a strong southern Mediterranean theme woven throughout as both of their families hailed from that region of Europe. Hints of lavender, olive leaves, and simplicity were added to the Colony Club’s Louis XIV ornate interior. Stephanie Kaslly Photography showcased the pops of blush and other differing shades of pink and peach, especially found in Designs by Guzzardo’s florals. The pastel addition maintained a degree of whimsy in the couple’s classic wedding motif. Weddings like these can just never do any wrong.

When you fall in love with your wedding venue, you just know, no matter what your plans originally were. Amanda and Vlad planned for a Colorado wedding, but they never knew what hit them as they stepped foot onto Bella Collina’s stunning grounds in Florida. Reminiscent of the Tuscan countryside, it was love at first sight for the duo and it just jived so well with their romantic wedding vision that we get to fawn over thanks to Kristen Weaver Photography‘s epic photos. The white florals and greenery by Lee James Floral looked resplendent against the venue’s landscape, but no matter how glorious the blooms looked, it just couldn’t compare to Amanda and Vlad looking like a million bucks. They stole the show, for sure!

On the day of Katie and Alan’s wedding, Dallas decided to unleash a massive storm, so the couple and their wedding planner, Sarah of Keestone Events, moved their planned outdoor ceremony inside the gorgeous ballroom of Arlington Hall. And while we wouldn’t call a monsoon on your wedding day ideal, we have to say that the stunning indoor celebration may just have been a blessing in disguise! The golden ballroom made a beautiful ceremony and reception setting, and the elegant floral arch by Moss Floral Design did double duty as ceremony altar and a lovely backdrop for the reception! For the reception, white and gold centerpieces enhanced the golden beauty of the ballroom, while a pop of purple echoed the bridesmaids flowing dresses. The result is timeless perfection, beautifully captured by Dyan Kethley Photography!

California-based Kate and Edward decided to tie the knot in Charleston, South Carolina, and fell in love with the classic and historic aesthetic of the Bennett House. Two hours before their ceremony, a ferocious summer storm came through, drenching their ceremony garden. Undeterred, The Petal Report and Tiger Lily moved the ceremony indoors to the base of the dramatic staircase. The rain cleared just as the ceremony ended, just in time for the couple and their guests to dance the night away to Palmetto Soul. These two are hopelessly in love, and it shows through in every beautiful moment captured by Rachel Red Photography!

If you’ve been dreaming of something sophisticated and elegant for your big day, but want to keep the nuptials intimate, a modern rooftop elopement couldn’t be more ideal. With just you and your fiancé, your closest friends, and the stunning Chicago skyline as the backdrop, this urban elopement is modern sophistication at its finest! Timeless watches by Movado from Kay Jewelers were the perfect gifts to accompany the chic setting, captured beautifully by Belen Aquino of Gerber Scarpelli Weddings.

Lera and Nick hail from Manchester but chose to celebrate with friends and family from around the world in Tuscany at the gorgeous Poggio Piglia. The villa, with its breathtaking views of olive groves and the Tuscan hills, provided a perfect setting. The ceremony was held overlooking the countryside and officiated by one of the couple’s close friends, and the poolside reception featured lovely olive leaf details in the natural florals created by Stiatti Fiori. As they were planning from a distance, the couple worked with Nazym Kombarova of Bianco Weddings who allowed them to sit back and relax and enjoy their special day with nary a worry or care! South Seas Island Resort held a special place in Tara and Justin’s hearts. As a child, Justin visited often, and he decided that when he was to marry, it would be where he held his fondest childhood memories. Tara and Justin met in high school and their beautiful relationship has spanned well over a decade, supporting eachother through their toughest moments, and leading them to the lovely May day where they celebrated their forever. Hollie of Elleson Events paired the couple’s love of geodes with the coastal setting to create an elegant soiree with a muted color palette and accents of driftwood. Textures were kept soft, with sheer draping and silk linens in the whitewashed reception room, and the rustic driftwood was accompanied by a sea of candlelight and swaths of calligraphy on the geode place cards and table numbers. The result is completely magical and we are absolutely swept away by the gorgeous images captured by Anastasiia Photography!

Taylor and Adam’s wedding is incredible from start to finish! The couple had a shared vision for their wedding: traditional romance shared with as many loved ones as possible, so they made the wonderful decision to incorporate friends and family into all aspects of their day. The historical First Universalist Unitarian Church in Wausau—the same church Taylor’s parents were married in 25 years prior—hosted their ceremony, which was officiated by a close friend. Guests then traveled to Taylor’s childhood home (also her mother’s childhood home!) for a spectacular reception set under three different tents festooned with string lights and decorated with gorgeous florals in crimson, pink, and white created by Evolutions in Design. The love simply radiates from this joyful couple (and their adorable pup!) and we are absolutely head over heels for each image captured on film by The McCartneys Photography!
