Timeless California Wedding at Serra Plaza

Kelsea and Joseph pictured “greenery and lights and dancing under the stars” for their wedding day, and their love of the outdoors led them to Fort Worth’s Heart of the Ranch. Nestled along the Trinity River and with a canopy of trees, it was the perfect setting for their romantic soiree. They were married under stunning floral arch from R Love Floral, and their tented reception featured cascading florals on the head table, a donut wall, and the most perfect greenery chandelier above the dance floor! There was even a beer wall where custom monogrammed cups set as favors. A subtle golf theme (Joseph is a golf lover!) played throughout, with a golf bag groom’s cake, flag escort cards, and even lawn games including a golf-themed cornhole game. KJ and Kenny are two Midwesterners currently living in California, and when they became engaged, they knew that they wanted to marry in the groom’s hometown of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. The classic Detroit Lakes Country Club was the perfect (albeit only!) choice for their outdoor ceremony and tented reception, which fused their North Dakota and Minnesota roots with elegant details, such as a fabulous floral arch by Natalie of Native Poppy that served as the backdrop for their vows. Using local greenery foraged from the Detroit Lakes area and over 2,500 blooms, Natalie created gorgeous arrangements and a cascading bridal bouquet that is simply heavenly! Fun details honoring their home states, such as die-cut state invitations and escort cards and a Fargo-friendly hashtag—#youBlattcha (youbetcha, get it?)—make this Midwest destination wedding a favorite! Danielle and Patrick have friends and family all over the country, so they decided to marry in one of their favorite places, Sarasota, Florida, and make it a full weekend celebration for their guests! Sarasota and its beaches have a long history in Danielle’s family and she grew up visiting the Ringling Museum, so it was a dream setting for their celebration! NK Productions took the couple’s vision of a clean, romantic aesthetic with a pastel color palette of blues, pinks, and whites and brought it to life with chic modern touches. Botanica designed a stunning chuppah for their blended ceremony (Danielle is Jewish, Patrick Presbyterian), and worked with the NK Productions team to style a sophisticated reception with modern touches such as acrylics and a sea of candles for the reception. They say rain on your wedding day is good luck, and the best laid plans of a courtyard reception were quickly switched for plan B, a ceremony and reception setup on the dramatic loges overlooking the museum. This made for an intimate event that Danielle says “ultimately made for an even more memorable experience!” This elegant and timeless event is one for the books, beautifully captured by Hunter Ryan Photo!

The Ringling Museum is Sarasota’s most spectacular setting, so when Kim and Christian conveyed their vision to NK Productions Wedding Planning, they chose to accentuate the courtyard with lush greenery, white blooms, and pops of burgundy blooms. Victoria Blooms mixed anemones, garden roses, and delphinium to create a romantic, organic feel underneath trees festooned with chandeliers. The scrumptious cake from The Cake Zone was half key lime and half mango—true Florida flavors!—and featured a blue ombre design to add a pop of whimsy and color to the warm and neutral reception. Emily and Ryan first met when Emily threw a birthday party for her best friend while in college at Miami University, with Ryan attending the party with a mutual friend. The pair ended up talking most of the night and continued to run into each other a few more times before Ryan asked Emily out on their first official date. The couple have been inseparable ever since, with Ryan popping the question a few years later in a magical candlelit Christmas time proposal.

Gina and Joe’s story begins like so many others in this generation: via a dating app and an awkward first date. Despite the fact Joe was not a Francophile and “avoided all of the French words” at the French restaurant they ate at, the pair met up again and the rest was history. Before they knew it, they were planning a wedding in Temecula’s wine country with Ashley Bee Photography documenting their day. Purple was common favorite color between the two of them, yet they wanted to break up the hues with various shades. Mauve, gold, and the deep brown wood interior at Wiens Family Cellar created a classic and rustic feel. Gina and Joe are fond of the outdoors, yet due to the weather and the season, they opted to stay warm and cozy inside. Despite this, they wanted to extract those aspects of the outdoors they love and add them into their indoor venue. Long, wooden tables mostly exposed with Sweet Flowers’ wildflower-esque creations gave this nature-loving couple exactly the motif they wanted, and it’s a treat for us all too!

Dana and Steven were married at the historic Tranquility Farm in Purceville, Virginia. The beautiful vineyards and rolling hills were the perfect backdrop for their day. Stunning florals and greenery by Colleen Rogin West complimented the flora and fauna of the estate perfectly! Dana was stunning in her Maggie Sottero lace gown, while her bridesmaids donned pale blue chiffon bridesmaids gowns. We simply adore all of the sophisticated rustic details and the beautiful imagery from Nikki Santerre Photography!

Julie and Ross’s love story began like any budding romance in college: Julie walked into a summer party Ross was already enjoying, and she caught his eye immediately. After he scrounged up enough courage to chat with her, they found out they both were attending George Washington University in DC. Realizing you couldn’t get any more serendipitous than that, Ross asked Julie out on a date and the rest was history. With an epic wedding proposal at The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Temple of Dendur exhibition, the duo followed it up with more amazing architecture and chose to wed at Philadelphia’s Cathedral of Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, and hosted their reception at Union Trust. Julie donned a stunning Berta wedding gown with vine detailing and Ross was the spitting image of a classic Hollywood leading man in his J. Hilburn tux. Kristin Weaver Photography’s captures show us all of the glitz and glam of the day and it instantly transports us to this fun fête.

The historical Vinoy in St Petersburg is a throwback to old Florida, and a dreamy setting for a classic wedding! Michelle and Colton chose to hold their ceremony in the lush tea garden, its fountain dripping in garlands from Marigold Flower Co, and then treated their guests to a gorgeous reception in the ballroom, where the blush and gold palette beautifully balanced the architecture. From the letterpress invitations by Olivia Grace Paperie to the images captured on film by The Ganeys, every detail is timeless and chic!

Debbie and Johnny may have started their relationship on different continents, but that was no match for this couple as they have trotted across the globe together! They ultimately settled in Texas alongside both of their families, and chose to hold an intimate wedding in Grapevine’s The Laurel. Sarah of Keestone Events crafted a romantic and classic wedding with a modern twist. Debbie loves neutral feminine colors and selected a peach and blush palette with pops of gold and sage, and Petals Couture created lovely garden-style arrangements to accentuate the dramatic ballroom. Debbie’s Justin Alexander gown is positively stunning, and her maids selected pink frocks from Azazie. Photography was incredibly important to the couple, and the fine art style of Allen Tsai was a perfect match – we are smitten!

Jules and Nick both hail from the South, and both have ties to Charleston, so a destination wedding in the Lowcountry was an easy choice! They selected Lowndes Grove Plantation, as Jules had always dreamed of getting married outside under the trees. The location, lined with oak trees right on the Ashley River, could not have been more perfect. Their vision of a romantic, Gatsby-inspired soiree was brought to life working with Mac and B. Events. They selected a color palette of champagne, ivory, and gold. Tables were adorned with ample florals by Branch Design Studio, in soft metallic vases, adding a bit of shimmer to the clean white tents. Glimmering chandeliers wrapped in greenery completed the scene and the result is exquisite! This sunset stunner from Sean Money + Elizabeth Fay is one for the ages!

Ashley and Alan’s elegant wedding at DeLille Cellars took full advantage of the natural beauty of their Washington locale. The couple immediately fell in love with the lush garden and charming pond, as well as the European villa inspired chateau. Holly of Perfectly Posh Events worked with the couple to design a timeless event with a delicate and airy feel. A color palette of blush, pale peach, and white beautifully blended with lush greenery in their tented reception with florals by Sugar Pine. Ashley was drawn to classic and feminine gowns, and selected a fitted Inbal Dror gown with lovely lace detailing, while her bridesmaids donned floaty pale blue Amsale dresses. The winery theme continued with a honeymoon in France’s wine country. Every moment is exquisitely captured by The Great Romance Photo!

Lauren and Sam were supposed to meet at a wedding. But despite both of their parents’ best efforts, they never actually met at that wedding. Their parents met at the bridal shower and thought that Lauren was perfect for Sam. When they got home, they told him all about the girl they met and conspired to get them together. Sam however, was interested in meeting a girl the bride posted a picture with, not someone his parent’s picked out for him and avoided their match-making. Come to the end of the night, Sam sees Lauren hug his parents goodbye and finally realizes that the girl from Instagram was the girl his parents wanted him to meet all along. In true millennial fashion, the next day Lauren got a Facebook message from Sam asking if she would give him another chance since he didn’t get to introduce himself to her at the wedding. A week later, they went on their first date, and 1,000 days later he’d be asking her to marry him.

After having their day postponed from Covid, Rhea’Lynn and Christian were finally able to celebrate their wedding day at One Eleven East. With a mid-century meets organic design it was absolutely breathtaking.

When Haley and Isaiah began planning their wedding they didn’t have lots of detailed Pinterest boards outlining all the must-have elements for their day. Instead, they wanted to focus simply on celebrating love, and with an uncomplicated vision of bright colors and classy elegance, they let Riding Tandem and their vendor team take the lead to create this lovely and beautiful event! Their venue couldn’t have been dreamier and the coral and pink florals by The Wildflower AZ were perfection against the pale blue bridesmaids dresses. Sarah and Fred envisioned a chic wedding with natural touches to soften the industrial vibe of their historic venue The Foundry at Puritan Mill. The florals by Rittenhouse Designs incorporated lush greenery into the centerpieces, table runners, and beautiful ceremony arch, and the bouquets of roses, ranunculus, and lisianthus were just the perfect touch of color against the dusty pink and mauve bridesmaids dresses. Sarah knew she wanted a simple yet elegant dress, and when she found this stunning low back gown from The White Magnolia Bridal Collection, she knew it was the one! After Jessica and Zach got engaged, they sweetly joined Jessica’s parents on a trip to DC to celebrate their wedding anniversary. One of their excursions there was to take a walk on the grounds where her parents held their wedding ceremony, the National Cathedral. Naturally, they were so smitten with the gardens and the buildings that once they found out the Gothic-style cathedral was now hosting wedding receptions in addition to ceremonies, the New Yorkers jumped on the chance to get married there. Jessica wanted an “elegant and ethereal” day so with the help of Caroline Dutton Events and Kate & Lilly Floral Design, they drew inspiration from the Bishop’s Garden on the grounds. With Audra Wrisley capturing all the pretty pale pink roses, peonies, greenery, and everything in between, the duo said their I do’s and partied the night away in one of the most amazing venues we’ve seen.

On the day of Katie and Alan’s wedding, Dallas decided to unleash a massive storm, so the couple and their wedding planner, Sarah of Keestone Events, moved their planned outdoor ceremony inside the gorgeous ballroom of Arlington Hall. And while we wouldn’t call a monsoon on your wedding day ideal, we have to say that the stunning indoor celebration may just have been a blessing in disguise! The golden ballroom made a beautiful ceremony and reception setting, and the elegant floral arch by Moss Floral Design did double duty as ceremony altar and a lovely backdrop for the reception! For the reception, white and gold centerpieces enhanced the golden beauty of the ballroom, while a pop of purple echoed the bridesmaids flowing dresses. Elia and Enrique’s Sarasota wedding at Marie Selby Gardens was nothing short of a classic and elegant affair. With the beautiful serene waterfront setting and the gorgeous setting underneath the banyan trees, the setting was the perfect choice for the couple’s vision of organic elegance. Oh Darling accented the natural beauty of the locale with greenery, a sea of candles, and pops of white blooms. Bridesmaids donned glimmering Adrianna Papell frocks, while Elia selected a stunning Carolina Herrera gown. Melissa and Travis always knew they wanted a small wedding. Their intimate dinner at Winston-Salem’s Spring House Restaurant ticked every box: a timeless and elegant setting, unforgettable food and drink, and treasured personal details. Melissa stayed true to her initial vision of a neutral palette with sophisticated hints of metallics. Amy Lynne Originals designed lush, clustered centerpieces of calla lilies, roses, peonies, lisianthus, hydrangea, and ranunculus, paired with a sea of candles in glass cylinders. The linens—handmade in India and passed down through Melissa’s aunt—were sheer with gold threading and beading, adding just the right hint of sparkle.
