Elegant Coastal Inspired Wedding

Ashley and Alan’s elegant wedding at DeLille Cellars took full advantage of the natural beauty of their Washington locale. The couple immediately fell in love with the lush garden and charming pond, as well as the European villa inspired chateau. Holly of Perfectly Posh Events worked with the couple to design a timeless event with a delicate and airy feel. A color palette of blush, pale peach, and white beautifully blended with lush greenery in their tented reception with florals by Sugar Pine. Ashley was drawn to classic and feminine gowns, and selected a fitted Inbal Dror gown with lovely lace detailing, while her bridesmaids donned floaty pale blue Amsale dresses. KJ and Kenny are two Midwesterners currently living in California, and when they became engaged, they knew that they wanted to marry in the groom’s hometown of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. The classic Detroit Lakes Country Club was the perfect (albeit only!) choice for their outdoor ceremony and tented reception, which fused their North Dakota and Minnesota roots with elegant details, such as a fabulous floral arch by Natalie of Native Poppy that served as the backdrop for their vows. Using local greenery foraged from the Detroit Lakes area and over 2,500 blooms, Natalie created gorgeous arrangements and a cascading bridal bouquet that is simply heavenly! Fun details honoring their home states, such as die-cut state invitations and escort cards and a Fargo-friendly hashtag—#youBlattcha (youbetcha, get it?)—make this Midwest destination wedding a favorite! After Jessica and Zach got engaged, they sweetly joined Jessica’s parents on a trip to DC to celebrate their wedding anniversary. One of their excursions there was to take a walk on the grounds where her parents held their wedding ceremony, the National Cathedral. Naturally, they were so smitten with the gardens and the buildings that once they found out the Gothic-style cathedral was now hosting wedding receptions in addition to ceremonies, the New Yorkers jumped on the chance to get married there. Jessica wanted an “elegant and ethereal” day so with the help of Caroline Dutton Events and Kate & Lilly Floral Design, they drew inspiration from the Bishop’s Garden on the grounds. With Audra Wrisley capturing all the pretty pale pink roses, peonies, greenery, and everything in between, the duo said their I do’s and partied the night away in one of the most amazing venues we’ve seen.

Dana and Steven were married at the historic Tranquility Farm in Purceville, Virginia. The beautiful vineyards and rolling hills were the perfect backdrop for their day. Stunning florals and greenery by Colleen Rogin West complimented the flora and fauna of the estate perfectly! Dana was stunning in her Maggie Sottero lace gown, while her bridesmaids donned pale blue chiffon bridesmaids gowns. We simply adore all of the sophisticated rustic details and the beautiful imagery from Nikki Santerre Photography!

Tori and Jon’s Milwaukee wedding is nothing short of fabulous. Tori says “once we saw the Grain Exchange there was no question that it fit perfectly!” and we couldn’t agree more. This spectacular venue is equal parts elegant and glamorous. and Evenement Planning created a beautiful ambiance with a color palette of gold, dusty blue, peach, gold, and pinks. Every detail from the cocktail hour to the late night snacks was accounted for! Sparkling sequin linens and tall centerpieces by Impressions by Esther graced the tables, and a custom bar by Barlotta’s added a finishing touch. Erin grew up spending summers nearby Horseshoe Bay Resort, so when selecting their wedding venue, she and Alex knew it would be the perfect choice! Situated an hour outside of Austin, the picturesque lakeside location is naturally gorgeous, and the couple selected their color palette of French blue and sage green based upon the surroundings. Working with Eclipse Event Co., Erin and Alex formed a cohesive vision: clean, classic, and welcoming. Erin shares “I wanted elegant yet un-fussy florals, which Gypsy Floral and Events translated into works of floral art.” With painterly arrangements set inside ginger jars and a showstopping hanging arrangement adorning the ceremony pavilion, we have to agree that these florals are heavenly! Even the intense heat and humidity of a typical spring day in Dallas couldn’t dim all the smiles at Jessica and Brian’s wedding! After a beautiful ceremony at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the celebration continued at the stunning Dallas Scottish Rite Crystal Ballroom where guests sipped signature cocktails surrounded by the venue’s ornate millwork and then dined at sparkling tables decorated with arrangements of soft blush roses and ivory hydrangea by The Rogue Rose. Classic, timeless, and perfectly elegant, it’s clear from all the smiles in these photos from Image Clairity that Jessica and Brian’s wedding day will be one remembered by all who were lucky enough to attend!

Janine and Mike chose Woodbridge Township’s stunning Ariana’s Grand for their reception venue, and the venue was perfect for their clean and ethereal wedding vision! To keep their wedding timeless, Flowers by Bernard filled their reception with swaths of greenery and mixed metals, accented by succulents and acrylic elements for a modern touch. Janine’s late grandmother was named Rosalie, and they honored her by sprinkling roses throughout the arrangements. We love this absolutely classic féte hailing from an illustrious museum in our nation’s capital today. This Washington DC wedding was photographed by one of our favorites, Lisa Blume, and it is elegant and so special and timeless. According to Kelly, she couldn’t take her mind off of the National Museum of Women in the Arts’s design and sweetly, how she could picture traipsing down the staircase to meet her dear dad at the bottom to walk her down the aisle to her beau Jamie (tears!). Speaking of tears, we had to mention this touching detail. Kelly needed to have her grandmothers there in some way, so to commemorate these wonderful women in her life, she shipped in two paintings from North Carolina of them and had her grandmother’s tea cup in her bridal suite. Endearingly, the teacup was a gift her grandmother gave to her sister for her wedding.

Cody and Abby’s vision of a classic Lowcountry wedding came to life when they said their vows beneath the majestic oaks of Charleston’s beautiful Boone Hall Plantation. Their outdoor ceremony gave way to a celebration inside the Cotton Dock, where Beautiful Brides Events and The Purple Magnolia created an elegant atmosphere with glimmering chandeliers and swaths of greenery. Their perfect blend of rustic elegance was beautifully captured by Ava Moore Photography!

Mariana and Salazar’s Portugal wedding is a little slice of perfection! Mariana, an event planner, envisioned a classic wedding with a modern twist and the couple selected a timeless palette of white, green, and gold. Solar de Levada was the perfect setting. Elegant florals and candlelight were accented with on-trend geometric elements, from the hanging seating chart to circular taper candle holders, and even a greenery-adorned swing for guests to enjoy! Mariana chose a sophisticated Rosa Clara gown featuring a detatchable skirt (and pockets!), and accented the gorgeous gown with 92-year-old earrings gifted to her gread-grandmother by her great-grandfather on their wedding day. Salazar donned a chic suit/tuxedo mix, and a watch gifted to him by friends for his thirtieth birthday. The couple sprinkled their day with many handmade elements, from “tears of joy” tissue packets to little hangover kits for guests, and created some fun photobooth signage, which was a hit! The historical Vinoy in St Petersburg is a throwback to old Florida, and a dreamy setting for a classic wedding! Michelle and Colton chose to hold their ceremony in the lush tea garden, its fountain dripping in garlands from Marigold Flower Co, and then treated their guests to a gorgeous reception in the ballroom, where the blush and gold palette beautifully balanced the architecture. From the letterpress invitations by Olivia Grace Paperie to the images captured on film by The Ganeys, every detail is timeless and chic!

With soft neutral hues and a spectacular beachside setting, Margaret Kyle and Kyle’s Charleston destination wedding is pure coastal elegance. The couple knew they wanted a destination wedding, and Margaret Kyle’s aunt and uncle were married at the Seabrook Island Club, and those fond memories translated into the perfect place to get married! Their vision of an understated but elegant look was brought to life by Lindsay Merhege of Fox Events. Tiger Lily Flowers designed florals that celebrated the neutral palette, with statement accents of greenery and a mixture of snowy white blooms. Seattle’s gorgeous historical Rainer Chapter House was modeled after George Washington’s Mt. Vernon home in Virginia. It contains a multitude of antique furniture and framed portraits that have the effect of bringing you back in time to the late 18th century, and this shoot photographed by Audrey Norman Photography effortlessly blended the classical venue with current trends. A neutral color palette of champagne, ivory, blush, and gold melded with the ornate interior, and pops of texture created a soft feel, especially when paired with romantic candlelight on the elegant tabletop with a ruched cheesecloth runner. Botanique Flowers styled a warm and inviting centerpiece with warm peach and sage tones, and The Sweet Side designed a cake with square tiers embellished with ivory flowers inspired by the Pronovias gown from Labelle Salon. Every sophisticated detail in the design by Pacific Engagements beautifully mixes classic and contemporary – we are completely smitten!

Kelsea and Joseph pictured “greenery and lights and dancing under the stars” for their wedding day, and their love of the outdoors led them to Fort Worth’s Heart of the Ranch. Nestled along the Trinity River and with a canopy of trees, it was the perfect setting for their romantic soiree. They were married under stunning floral arch from R Love Floral, and their tented reception featured cascading florals on the head table, a donut wall, and the most perfect greenery chandelier above the dance floor! There was even a beer wall where custom monogrammed cups set as favors. A subtle golf theme (Joseph is a golf lover!) played throughout, with a golf bag groom’s cake, flag escort cards, and even lawn games including a golf-themed cornhole game. In college Kara had studied abroad in Florence, Italy and always dreamed that she would one day get married there. When she and Andrew first set eyes upon photos of Villa Gamberaia, they booked the venue sight unseen, but then ventured to Florence to meet with their planner, VB Events. The venue is full of rich history, from its world famous gardens to the sweeping views of the Tuscan countryside, so the couple chose natural colors and decor to highlight the villa’s natural beauty. Olive branches and natural wildflowers decorated the tables for the the indoor reception, and each couple was gifted a bottle of local olive oil to take home as favors, and each place setting included the traditional five Jordan almonds to signify five wishes for the couple: health, wealth, happiness, fertility, and longevity. Prepare to be transported to Tuscany and enjoy the absolutely breathtaking images from Stefano Santucci!

Molly and Paul’s romantic desert wedding makes the most of the stunning mountain backdrop of Red Rock Country Club. The December Las Vegas weather was warm enough for an outdoor ceremony, which featured a positively gorgeous wedding arbor designed by CITY blossoms. Molly embraced having a winter wedding and selected a palette of silver and gray with lush ivory blooms for a simple yet elegant look. Molly accented her Justin Alexander lace gown with a fingertip veil and chic loose waves styled by Amelia C. & Co.. Her gown also held a special surprise for Paul! Molly shares “My husband plays baseball for the NY Mets, and we both agreed to keep baseball out of our wedding decor. But since baseball is such a huge part of our lives, I surprised him with the Mets emblem patch inside my dress as my “something blue”. Lauren and Sam were supposed to meet at a wedding. But despite both of their parents’ best efforts, they never actually met at that wedding. Their parents met at the bridal shower and thought that Lauren was perfect for Sam. When they got home, they told him all about the girl they met and conspired to get them together. Sam however, was interested in meeting a girl the bride posted a picture with, not someone his parent’s picked out for him and avoided their match-making. Come to the end of the night, Sam sees Lauren hug his parents goodbye and finally realizes that the girl from Instagram was the girl his parents wanted him to meet all along. In true millennial fashion, the next day Lauren got a Facebook message from Sam asking if she would give him another chance since he didn’t get to introduce himself to her at the wedding. A week later, they went on their first date, and 1,000 days later he’d be asking her to marry him.

Emily and Ryan first met when Emily threw a birthday party for her best friend while in college at Miami University, with Ryan attending the party with a mutual friend. The pair ended up talking most of the night and continued to run into each other a few more times before Ryan asked Emily out on their first official date. The couple have been inseparable ever since, with Ryan popping the question a few years later in a magical candlelit Christmas time proposal.

Rebekah and Brad met the good ole fashion way: at a bar. Though it may be cheesy, it was pretty much love at first sight for both of them. Brad popped the question a year and a half later on a Malibu beach for the ultimate romantic proposal.
