Wine Country Wedding in Shades of Blue + Purple

Dana and Steven were married at the historic Tranquility Farm in Purceville, Virginia. The beautiful vineyards and rolling hills were the perfect backdrop for their day. Stunning florals and greenery by Colleen Rogin West complimented the flora and fauna of the estate perfectly! Dana was stunning in her Maggie Sottero lace gown, while her bridesmaids donned pale blue chiffon bridesmaids gowns. Ashley and Alan’s elegant wedding at DeLille Cellars took full advantage of the natural beauty of their Washington locale. The couple immediately fell in love with the lush garden and charming pond, as well as the European villa inspired chateau. Holly of Perfectly Posh Events worked with the couple to design a timeless event with a delicate and airy feel. A color palette of blush, pale peach, and white beautifully blended with lush greenery in their tented reception with florals by Sugar Pine. Ashley was drawn to classic and feminine gowns, and selected a fitted Inbal Dror gown with lovely lace detailing, while her bridesmaids donned floaty pale blue Amsale dresses. Elena and Jonathan’s wedding vision was “Grace Kelly does New Orleans” and wow, did they deliver! With classic, timeless elements inspired by her grandmother’s wedding and a palette of soft blues and mustard yellow, their New Orleans wedding at Maison Montegut pays homage to their families while creating a chic and sophisticated atmosphere. Emily Sullivan Events made sure the day went off without a hitch, and Poppy and Mint created florals with vibrant pops of yellow to accent the fresh greenery of the courtyard reception. The historical Vinoy in St Petersburg is a throwback to old Florida, and a dreamy setting for a classic wedding! Michelle and Colton chose to hold their ceremony in the lush tea garden, its fountain dripping in garlands from Marigold Flower Co, and then treated their guests to a gorgeous reception in the ballroom, where the blush and gold palette beautifully balanced the architecture. From the letterpress invitations by Olivia Grace Paperie to the images captured on film by The Ganeys, every detail is timeless and chic!

Kelsea and Joseph pictured “greenery and lights and dancing under the stars” for their wedding day, and their love of the outdoors led them to Fort Worth’s Heart of the Ranch. Nestled along the Trinity River and with a canopy of trees, it was the perfect setting for their romantic soiree. They were married under stunning floral arch from R Love Floral, and their tented reception featured cascading florals on the head table, a donut wall, and the most perfect greenery chandelier above the dance floor! There was even a beer wall where custom monogrammed cups set as favors. A subtle golf theme (Joseph is a golf lover!) played throughout, with a golf bag groom’s cake, flag escort cards, and even lawn games including a golf-themed cornhole game. Gina and Joe’s story begins like so many others in this generation: via a dating app and an awkward first date. Despite the fact Joe was not a Francophile and “avoided all of the French words” at the French restaurant they ate at, the pair met up again and the rest was history. Before they knew it, they were planning a wedding in Temecula’s wine country with Ashley Bee Photography documenting their day. Purple was common favorite color between the two of them, yet they wanted to break up the hues with various shades. Mauve, gold, and the deep brown wood interior at Wiens Family Cellar created a classic and rustic feel. Gina and Joe are fond of the outdoors, yet due to the weather and the season, they opted to stay warm and cozy inside. Despite this, they wanted to extract those aspects of the outdoors they love and add them into their indoor venue. Long, wooden tables mostly exposed with Sweet Flowers’ wildflower-esque creations gave this nature-loving couple exactly the motif they wanted, and it’s a treat for us all too!

Elia and Enrique’s Sarasota wedding at Marie Selby Gardens was nothing short of a classic and elegant affair. With the beautiful serene waterfront setting and the gorgeous setting underneath the banyan trees, the setting was the perfect choice for the couple’s vision of organic elegance. Oh Darling accented the natural beauty of the locale with greenery, a sea of candles, and pops of white blooms. Bridesmaids donned glimmering Adrianna Papell frocks, while Elia selected a stunning Carolina Herrera gown. This classic couple and their romantic Florida wedding was beautifully captured by Ailyn La Torre Photography!

Elegant, romantic, and colorful perfectly describes Tara and Georg’s wedding at Sarasota’s sophisticated Field Club. The couple lived in Italy for a time, and added some subtle Tuscan vibes to their Florida soiree. Working with Nicole of NK Productions (which Tara describes as “the best decision we ever made”), Tara and Georg created a romantic setting with stunning florals by Victoria Blooms that featured large coral peonies, olive leaf, and blush garden roses. Our favorite detail? The entrance fountain overflowing with lush florals! Petite bottles of olive oil served as place cards and favors, atop french blue linens and set next to table numbers hand-drawn by Tara’s maid of honor, labeled as their favorite Italian cities. With soft neutral hues and a spectacular beachside setting, Margaret Kyle and Kyle’s Charleston destination wedding is pure coastal elegance. The couple knew they wanted a destination wedding, and Margaret Kyle’s aunt and uncle were married at the Seabrook Island Club, and those fond memories translated into the perfect place to get married! Their vision of an understated but elegant look was brought to life by Lindsay Merhege of Fox Events. Tiger Lily Flowers designed florals that celebrated the neutral palette, with statement accents of greenery and a mixture of snowy white blooms. Tina grew up in Hong Kong and Australia, with half of her family in Scotland, and Zac is from Australia. Their close family and friends live all over the world, so what better way to celebrate their union than with a destination wedding in Barcelona, where they were living when Zac proposed? Their vision of an intimate, personal wedding came to life when they found Casa Felix, a Spanish villa in Barcelona’s wine region, with a relaxed, peaceful ambiance. The couple worked with A Spanish Do to create a poolside reception highlighting the stunning locale. They selected a pastel color palette with pops of berry tones and an abundance of greenery, and Paradiso Barcelona designed rich, organic florals to complement the natural beauty of the villa. Inspired by the colors of Charleston, this stunning editorial for The Film Gathering features a color palette of shades of pink and purple, sprinkled with pops of marigold – soft and whimsical, but refined. With the majestic oaks of Middleton Place as the backdrop, the design team of Magnolia & Grace Events and Lindsay Bishop Events created an enchanting sweetheart table with luxe velvet linens, vintage gold flatware, auburgine taper candles, and a large cascading compote centerpiece. The result is absolutely breathtaking! We adore how this shoot mixes modern touches (those shoes!) with classic elements (that vintage car!) for a completely unique and timeless look! KJ and Kenny are two Midwesterners currently living in California, and when they became engaged, they knew that they wanted to marry in the groom’s hometown of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. The classic Detroit Lakes Country Club was the perfect (albeit only!) choice for their outdoor ceremony and tented reception, which fused their North Dakota and Minnesota roots with elegant details, such as a fabulous floral arch by Natalie of Native Poppy that served as the backdrop for their vows. Using local greenery foraged from the Detroit Lakes area and over 2,500 blooms, Natalie created gorgeous arrangements and a cascading bridal bouquet that is simply heavenly! Fun details honoring their home states, such as die-cut state invitations and escort cards and a Fargo-friendly hashtag—#youBlattcha (youbetcha, get it?)—make this Midwest destination wedding a favorite! Allie and Bryce love their Virginia heritage, and their wedding vision was centered first and foremost around Allie’s dream of being married at Tuckahoe Plantation. Their classic Southern soiree feels traditional and timeless but not at all stuffy! A fresh color palette of shades of purple and green echo the lush surrounding gardens, while touches such as black and white striped grosgrain ribbons add a modern twist. Whitehouse Flowers incorporated peonies into the arrangements as the couple’s own garden is filled with peonies replanted from each of their grandparents’ gardens. In keeping with the Southern theme, they opted for a classic buttercream cake with a cascade of lilac hydrangea. Special touches abound, from oyster shell escort cards to a fabulous custom monogram crest – each moment captured by Sarah Jane Winter Photography is so special and joyous and we’re in love!

The Ringling Museum is Sarasota’s most spectacular setting, so when Kim and Christian conveyed their vision to NK Productions Wedding Planning, they chose to accentuate the courtyard with lush greenery, white blooms, and pops of burgundy blooms. Victoria Blooms mixed anemones, garden roses, and delphinium to create a romantic, organic feel underneath trees festooned with chandeliers. The scrumptious cake from The Cake Zone was half key lime and half mango—true Florida flavors!—and featured a blue ombre design to add a pop of whimsy and color to the warm and neutral reception. We wish we were basking in the Florida sun and are spellbound by the gorgeous images by Justin DeMutiis Photography!

Rebekah and Brad met the good ole fashion way: at a bar. Though it may be cheesy, it was pretty much love at first sight for both of them. Brad popped the question a year and a half later on a Malibu beach for the ultimate romantic proposal.

Sarah & Benjamin wanted guests to feel like they were entering a magical world when they arrived at their wedding and the day was full of awe-inspiring details which made that vision a reality. From getting married at the castle-like Wonderland Cluj Resort, to the horse-drawn carriage fit for royalty, to the show-stopping, jaw-droppingly lush, floor-to-ceiling florals by Elena Bodea – Las Floristas that filled both the ceremony and reception, guests were transported into a fairy tale for the day. Add to that that these two look like they walked out of a magazine themselves, and this may be one of the most dreamy weddings ever! Holly and Jacob chose the beautiful Grandeur House for their fall wedding and the all-white farmhouse was the perfect backdrop to highlight all of the personal details they chose for their event. Dusty blue tablescapes were warmed by centerpieces from A Pocket Full of Posies in hues of rust, burgundy, and orange, reflecting the fall foliage outside, and Holly’s mother used stained glass from churches hit by Hurricane Katrina to make beautiful glass flowers for the tables. Small magnolia and Japanese red maple trees were even placed in the space for the evening but then brought to the couple’s home to be planted as a memory of their big day! They did an amazing job incorporating family heirlooms into their celebration while also creating new heirlooms and Jessica Brown Photography captured each of those details perfectly!

We love this absolutely classic féte hailing from an illustrious museum in our nation’s capital today. This Washington DC wedding was photographed by one of our favorites, Lisa Blume, and it is elegant and so special and timeless. According to Kelly, she couldn’t take her mind off of the National Museum of Women in the Arts’s design and sweetly, how she could picture traipsing down the staircase to meet her dear dad at the bottom to walk her down the aisle to her beau Jamie (tears!). Speaking of tears, we had to mention this touching detail. Kelly needed to have her grandmothers there in some way, so to commemorate these wonderful women in her life, she shipped in two paintings from North Carolina of them and had her grandmother’s tea cup in her bridal suite. Endearingly, the teacup was a gift her grandmother gave to her sister for her wedding.

After Jessica and Zach got engaged, they sweetly joined Jessica’s parents on a trip to DC to celebrate their wedding anniversary. One of their excursions there was to take a walk on the grounds where her parents held their wedding ceremony, the National Cathedral. Naturally, they were so smitten with the gardens and the buildings that once they found out the Gothic-style cathedral was now hosting wedding receptions in addition to ceremonies, the New Yorkers jumped on the chance to get married there. Jessica wanted an “elegant and ethereal” day so with the help of Caroline Dutton Events and Kate & Lilly Floral Design, they drew inspiration from the Bishop’s Garden on the grounds. With Audra Wrisley capturing all the pretty pale pink roses, peonies, greenery, and everything in between, the duo said their I do’s and partied the night away in one of the most amazing venues we’ve seen.

With a stunning and vibrant color palette of mustard, floral, and gray, this fabulous team of Florida wedding pros created a romantic and whimsical shoot set at Cypress Grove Estate. Inspired by the gorgeous mustard color of a Jenny Yoo bridesmaid gown, Tickled Pink Brides and Casie Marie Photography designed a classic soiree perfect for any season. Andi Mejia created an invitation suite with dove gray typography and illustration of the estate, and Bakers Cottage Cakes made a breathtaking yellow cake with whimsical edible flowers.
