Romantic Amalfi Coast Elopement Inspiration

After driving through the English countryside and up to the gates of Hencote Estate Winery with its hillside vineyards and Georgian hay barn, the team behind today’s shoot said they felt like they had crossed the Channel into France! Envisioning a late summer or early autumn wedding, they chose an elegant fall color palette with touches of champagne and pops of coral. Calisto By Christina incorporated autumnal foliage and pastel florals in shades of peach and ivory into stunning arrangements for both the ceremony space and tablescape. Portugal is one of the most sought-after destination wedding locations in Europe, and this stunning styled elopement designed by Splendida Weddings shows off the stunning town of Estoril on the Portuguese Riviera. The magical Forte da Cruz, a gorgeous historical fortress on the ocean, sets the scene, with its 17th century architecture and unforgettable ceremony location. A delicate Mywony Bridal gown in the softest gray was accented by ombre blooms by Decorelle. Lenka Calligraphy created invitations, printed on handmade cotton paper and featuring an envelope liner with an illustration of the fortress. The reception at the sun-splashed Villa Tamariz Utopia featured a spectacular tabletop which paired a neutral palette of gold, gray, and white with deep teal stationery and a romantic centerpiece with pops of berry pink. Elia and Enrique’s Sarasota wedding at Marie Selby Gardens was nothing short of a classic and elegant affair. With the beautiful serene waterfront setting and the gorgeous setting underneath the banyan trees, the setting was the perfect choice for the couple’s vision of organic elegance. Oh Darling accented the natural beauty of the locale with greenery, a sea of candles, and pops of white blooms. Bridesmaids donned glimmering Adrianna Papell frocks, while Elia selected a stunning Carolina Herrera gown. Seattle’s gorgeous historical Rainer Chapter House was modeled after George Washington’s Mt. Vernon home in Virginia. It contains a multitude of antique furniture and framed portraits that have the effect of bringing you back in time to the late 18th century, and this shoot photographed by Audrey Norman Photography effortlessly blended the classical venue with current trends. A neutral color palette of champagne, ivory, blush, and gold melded with the ornate interior, and pops of texture created a soft feel, especially when paired with romantic candlelight on the elegant tabletop with a ruched cheesecloth runner. Ashley and Alan’s elegant wedding at DeLille Cellars took full advantage of the natural beauty of their Washington locale. The couple immediately fell in love with the lush garden and charming pond, as well as the European villa inspired chateau. Holly of Perfectly Posh Events worked with the couple to design a timeless event with a delicate and airy feel. A color palette of blush, pale peach, and white beautifully blended with lush greenery in their tented reception with florals by Sugar Pine. Ashley was drawn to classic and feminine gowns, and selected a fitted Inbal Dror gown with lovely lace detailing, while her bridesmaids donned floaty pale blue Amsale dresses. When you combine the rolling hills of the Edna Valley with an evening dinner party celebrating true love, you have a truly magical day! Elizabeth and River selected the Center of Effort Winery for their Central California wedding, and chose a color palette of shades of of blue and purple, which made the rugged backdrop even more beautiful! Vanessa Noel Events worked with the couple to design an event full of unique details: the seating chart was displayed on lanterns, textured blue velvet linens from La Tavola Linen graced the farmhouse tables, and a fabulous dessert table from Paper Cake Events with woodland florals by Noonan’s Wine Country Designs was a showstopping addition to the intimate outdoor affair. Inspired by the colors of Charleston, this stunning editorial for The Film Gathering features a color palette of shades of pink and purple, sprinkled with pops of marigold – soft and whimsical, but refined. With the majestic oaks of Middleton Place as the backdrop, the design team of Magnolia & Grace Events and Lindsay Bishop Events created an enchanting sweetheart table with luxe velvet linens, vintage gold flatware, auburgine taper candles, and a large cascading compote centerpiece. KJ and Kenny are two Midwesterners currently living in California, and when they became engaged, they knew that they wanted to marry in the groom’s hometown of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. The classic Detroit Lakes Country Club was the perfect (albeit only!) choice for their outdoor ceremony and tented reception, which fused their North Dakota and Minnesota roots with elegant details, such as a fabulous floral arch by Natalie of Native Poppy that served as the backdrop for their vows. Using local greenery foraged from the Detroit Lakes area and over 2,500 blooms, Natalie created gorgeous arrangements and a cascading bridal bouquet that is simply heavenly! Fun details honoring their home states, such as die-cut state invitations and escort cards and a Fargo-friendly hashtag—#youBlattcha (youbetcha, get it?)—make this Midwest destination wedding a favorite! Erin grew up spending summers nearby Horseshoe Bay Resort, so when selecting their wedding venue, she and Alex knew it would be the perfect choice! Situated an hour outside of Austin, the picturesque lakeside location is naturally gorgeous, and the couple selected their color palette of French blue and sage green based upon the surroundings. Working with Eclipse Event Co., Erin and Alex formed a cohesive vision: clean, classic, and welcoming. Erin shares “I wanted elegant yet un-fussy florals, which Gypsy Floral and Events translated into works of floral art.” With painterly arrangements set inside ginger jars and a showstopping hanging arrangement adorning the ceremony pavilion, we have to agree that these florals are heavenly! This editorial captured by XO and Fetti Photography is inspired by the song “La Paloma,” written in 1961 by Sebastian Iradier. The Spanish melody feels romantic and ethereal, this editorial matched the song with soft details and a real couple with lots of charm. In this editorial, the bride is “La Paloma” returning messages of love to her heritage, reconnecting with her culture, the history and the art.

Elena and Jonathan’s wedding vision was “Grace Kelly does New Orleans” and wow, did they deliver! With classic, timeless elements inspired by her grandmother’s wedding and a palette of soft blues and mustard yellow, their New Orleans wedding at Maison Montegut pays homage to their families while creating a chic and sophisticated atmosphere. Dana and Steven were married at the historic Tranquility Farm in Purceville, Virginia. The beautiful vineyards and rolling hills were the perfect backdrop for their day. Elegant, romantic, and colorful perfectly describes Tara and Georg’s wedding at Sarasota’s sophisticated Field Club. The couple lived in Italy for a time, and added some subtle Tuscan vibes to their Florida soiree. Working with Nicole of NK Productions (which Tara describes as “the best decision we ever made”), Tara and Georg created a romantic setting with stunning florals by Victoria Blooms that featured large coral peonies, olive leaf, and blush garden roses. Our favorite detail? The entrance fountain overflowing with lush florals! Petite bottles of olive oil served as place cards and favors, atop french blue linens and set next to table numbers hand-drawn by Tara’s maid of honor, labeled as their favorite Italian cities. California-based Kate and Edward decided to tie the knot in Charleston, South Carolina, and fell in love with the classic and historic aesthetic of the Bennett House. Two hours before their ceremony, a ferocious summer storm came through, drenching their ceremony garden. Undeterred, The Petal Report and Tiger Lily moved the ceremony indoors to the base of the dramatic staircase. The rain cleared just as the ceremony ended, just in time for the couple and their guests to dance the night away to Palmetto Soul. Their close family and friends live all over the world, so what better way to celebrate their union than with a destination wedding in Barcelona, where they were living when Zac proposed? Their vision of an intimate, personal wedding came to life when they found Casa Felix, a Spanish villa in Barcelona’s wine region, with a relaxed, peaceful ambiance. The couple worked with A Spanish Do to create a poolside reception highlighting the stunning locale.
