Dana and Steven were married at the historic Tranquility Farm in Purceville, Virginia. The beautiful vineyards and rolling hills were the perfect backdrop for their day. Stunning florals and greenery by Colleen Rogin West complimented the flora and fauna of the estate perfectly! Dana was stunning in her Maggie Sottero lace gown, while her bridesmaids donned pale blue chiffon bridesmaids gowns. We simply adore all of the sophisticated rustic details and the beautiful imagery from Nikki Santerre Photography!
In their own words
How did you meet?
We met on a ski trip to Tremblant. The first time we met was sitting next to each other on an 8 hour car ride!
What is your proposal story?
A photographer friend of Dana’s reached out to her and asked if she would model for a shoot she was planning. Steven had set this up behind her back – during the shoot, he got down on one knee.
What were your favorite parts of the day?
The first look! It was definitely an emotional part of the day and we loved hearing each others vows. In the morning Steven’s brother came into the house and was looking for Steven’s sneakers. Apparently he was so anxious and had such an adrenaline rush that he had to go on a run. Dana got nervous for a second and thought he was going to be a runaway groom.
Did you include any family heirlooms or special traditions?
My dad wore his fathers watch (my grandfather who passed away). Dana was very very nervous to do our vows in front of everyone during the ceremony! So we decided to do them during our first look and IF she felt comfortable then we were going to do them during the ceremony. Luckily she got over the jitters and we did them during both!
