Sarah and Fred envisioned a chic wedding with natural touches to soften the industrial vibe of their historic venue The Foundry at Puritan Mill. The florals by Rittenhouse Designs incorporated lush greenery into the centerpieces, table runners, and beautiful ceremony arch, and the bouquets of roses, ranunculus, and lisianthus were just the perfect touch of color against the dusty pink and mauve bridesmaids dresses. Sarah knew she wanted a simple yet elegant dress, and when she found this stunning low back gown from The White Magnolia Bridal Collection, she knew it was the one! Tenth & Grace beautifully captured each and every detail of this chic and romantic day, so make sure you check out the entire gallery!
In their own words
How did you meet?
Fred and I were first introduced to each other through mutual friends during high school. We had dinner and watched a scary movie (how cliche!). After several hangouts and engaging conversations, he decided to ask me on an official date. We were high school sweethearts ever since!
Fred and I attended rival high schools and coincidentally went to each other’s rival colleges with Fred going to UGA and myself to Georgia Tech. Although we attended different schools and were (sort of) long-distance, we always put in the effort to prioritize each other, which meant endless drives to and from Athens and Atlanta.
What is your proposal story?
One Saturday afternoon, Fred asked me to help run an errand with him and I agreed to. Instead, he took me to The Atlanta Botanical Garden where he proposed to me. I was completely in shock and at a loss for words! Later that night, the two of us went out for dinner and he once again surprised me with a decorated room full of close friends and family that came out to celebrate with us!
What was the most important to the two of you while planning? Was there anything that you chose to splurge on or skip?
Food and venue were the top two most important things to us while we were planning. We definitely wanted our guests to leave full and satisfied while also enjoying the atmosphere.
Do you have any advice for couples planning their weddings now?
Enjoy the planning process and don’t think too hard on the small details. Ask for help if you need it! This is your special day so make sure to plan it exactly the way you like it, not how you think others will like it.
