Chic Chicago Micro Wedding

When Haley and Isaiah began planning their wedding they didn’t have lots of detailed Pinterest boards outlining all the must-have elements for their day. Instead, they wanted to focus simply on celebrating love, and with an uncomplicated vision of bright colors and classy elegance, they let Riding Tandem and their vendor team take the lead to create this lovely and beautiful event! Their venue couldn’t have been dreamier and the coral and pink florals by The Wildflower AZ were perfection against the pale blue bridesmaids dresses. Even the intense heat and humidity of a typical spring day in Dallas couldn’t dim all the smiles at Jessica and Brian’s wedding! After a beautiful ceremony at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the celebration continued at the stunning Dallas Scottish Rite Crystal Ballroom where guests sipped signature cocktails surrounded by the venue’s ornate millwork and then dined at sparkling tables decorated with arrangements of soft blush roses and ivory hydrangea by The Rogue Rose. Classic, timeless, and perfectly elegant, it’s clear from all the smiles in these photos from Image Clairity that Jessica and Brian’s wedding day will be one remembered by all who were lucky enough to attend!

Valerie and Ken’s Tower Hill Botanical Garden wedding was like walking into another time. Every corner was filled with gorgeous flowers and art, every detail simple in its elegance. The greenhouses and gardens at Tower Hill inspired the color and style for their wedding. Julie Lapham Designs created arrangements with succulents and airplants, roses, eucalyptus, and anemone, and many of the succulents are now growing in the couple’s home! Seeded paper escort cards doubled as favors, a Jenga game served as the guest book, and colorful tabletops graced the Orangerie. Sarah & Benjamin wanted guests to feel like they were entering a magical world when they arrived at their wedding and the day was full of awe-inspiring details which made that vision a reality. From getting married at the castle-like Wonderland Cluj Resort, to the horse-drawn carriage fit for royalty, to the show-stopping, jaw-droppingly lush, floor-to-ceiling florals by Elena Bodea – Las Floristas that filled both the ceremony and reception, guests were transported into a fairy tale for the day. Add to that that these two look like they walked out of a magazine themselves, and this may be one of the most dreamy weddings ever! A backdrop of verdant green climbing ivy and dreamy painterly florals would play a muse for any impressionist artist, so it’s no wonder that Indigo Event Design chose the stunning gardens and chateau of Monet Vineyards for this Claude Monet-inspired shoot. BLUE Floral Company created a pastel rainbow of locally-sourced florals to paint the outdoor ceremony space and stunning bouquet that is worthy of Monet’s brush itself. Lush centerpieces of coral and butter yellow peonies, lavender scabiosa, and dusty blush roses sit atop a french blue table, with just the right touch of regal elegance from gold flatware and chargers. Romantic and intimate, these photos by RTFaith Photography prove that even a micro-wedding can be a fairytale wedding too!

Although their original plan was to get married in Salt Lake City, as soon as Lindsay and Danny stepped foot into the lobby of Cabo Azul Resort in Los Cabos, Mexico, they knew by the look in each other’s eyes that they had found a new plan. Guests enjoyed smaller gatherings leading up to the big day, relaxing by the pool and sipping margaritas, and when the time came to exchange vows, the couple said “I do” in a beautiful open air cathedral looking out over the ocean. Secluded and covered with a canopy of towering oak trees, Antebellum Oaks Venue was instantly Taylor and Tyler’s choice for their warm, elegant, and romantic fall wedding. Taylor chose rich hues of emerald, plum, ivory, and mauve for their stunning florals by Remi and Gold which blended seamlessly with the venue’s natural beauty. Style was high on their list of priorities for the day, so it’s no surprise that the couple knocked it out of the park with the timeless and elegant bridal party attire and Taylor’s jaw-dropping gown (and cape!) which looks like it’s straight out of a royal portrait! Both big and small, Kelly Costello Photography captured all the the unique details and special moments of their day, the biggest one being a surprise performance by Tyler’s favorite band! Sarah and Fred envisioned a chic wedding with natural touches to soften the industrial vibe of their historic venue The Foundry at Puritan Mill. The florals by Rittenhouse Designs incorporated lush greenery into the centerpieces, table runners, and beautiful ceremony arch, and the bouquets of roses, ranunculus, and lisianthus were just the perfect touch of color against the dusty pink and mauve bridesmaids dresses. Sarah knew she wanted a simple yet elegant dress, and when she found this stunning low back gown from The White Magnolia Bridal Collection, she knew it was the one! After a very quirky match-up on dating site eHarmony, Nicole and Seth found love in one another and were inseparable after that first date. When you know, you just know, right? A mere two years after their initial meeting, Seth enlisted their sweet pups for a surprising and cozy at-home proposal that was conducted in the same exact spot as their first kiss. So sweet!

Although Meagan and Christian live and met in Connecticut, the couple made the endearing choice to wed in Christian’s home state of Michigan. Meagan initially had her heart set on a farm wedding, but once she laid her eyes on Planterra, Meagan knew they had found the venue for their November wedding. They kept the color palette in line with the conservatory’s own tropical feel, choosing bridesmaids dresses from Madeline’s Daughter in sage green. Florals like white ranunculus, polo roses, and secret garden roses alongside feather eucalyptus and jasmine vine created an eden for the newlyweds and their guests. Our favorite detail, though, has to be the oversized white balloons added to the tables at the reception. Meagan wanted a unique detail that really stood out and we’re so glad Kelly Sweet Photography was able to capture that and all of the other gorgeous details of this wedding so beautifully!

College of Charleston alumni Chanel and Alex returned to their old stomping grounds to profess their forevers to each other in downtown Charleston, South Carolina and they certainly did it to the nines. Aaron and Jillian Photography captured the opulence and southern charm of their big day and those wine and blush shades are calling our name. Deep jewel-toned colors were the supreme winners for the day, with the bridesmaids in luxe berry Hayley Paige gowns, exquisite burgundy florals by Petaloso, and a merlot wedding invitation suite with hints of gold. Rich colors and romance reign supreme in this Charleston affair planned to perfection by Pure Luxe Bride!

Patrice and Nick met in one of the most unique ways we’ve heard of: the pair were production assistants on former TV sitcom “The New Adventures of Old Christine”. They started out as friends and their relationship bloomed from there, ultimately with an inventive engagement proposal that involved Patrice’s boss (read more below about that fun tale). They wanted a wedding that drew in their love for California, Patrice’s Filipino heritage, and an overwhelming elegance and thoughtfulness. Sabine Scherer Photography captured their wedding, from the stunning ceremony at Patrice’s family church, St. Dominic Catholic Church to their Bently Reserve reception. Their reception venue is hailed for its opulence, so to add balance, Mango Muse Events and Violetta Flowers pulled in live trees, organic asymmetrical elements and garlands, and added meaningful orchids and roses (as an homage to family that had passed on). Of course, fun had to be had, so to kick off their reception, the newlyweds partnered up to do a medley dance that ended with hip hop. We love all of the injections of Patrice and Nick’s fun personalities and fascinating lives all throughout their big day.

When you find out that Christine and Michael’s guest list consisted of family from 19 different states, you’ll wonder like us how they accommodated every single one of them. They happened upon Morristown, New Jersey because of its proximity to major airports and train stations: a huge plus. What they really lucked out on was The Madison Hotel-Conservatory. Cassi Claire Photography captured the breathtaking venue and its high glass walls, stark white interior with a slight industrial vibe, and the abundance of flowers already perched inside. The couple wanted to keep their colors simple, so they opted for a classic color palette so as not to detract from the conservatory itself. Apple Blossom Flower Shop created pieces with white flowers front and center and heaps of greenery strewn throughout, from the bouquets to the centerpieces. Check out local conservatories for their wedding availability; they are usually decked out in impressive flora and fauna already and are such a unique option for wedding venues.

Gina and Joe’s story begins like so many others in this generation: via a dating app and an awkward first date. Despite the fact Joe was not a Francophile and “avoided all of the French words” at the French restaurant they ate at, the pair met up again and the rest was history. Before they knew it, they were planning a wedding in Temecula’s wine country with Ashley Bee Photography documenting their day. Purple was common favorite color between the two of them, yet they wanted to break up the hues with various shades. Mauve, gold, and the deep brown wood interior at Wiens Family Cellar created a classic and rustic feel. Gina and Joe are fond of the outdoors, yet due to the weather and the season, they opted to stay warm and cozy inside. Despite this, they wanted to extract those aspects of the outdoors they love and add them into their indoor venue. Long, wooden tables mostly exposed with Sweet Flowers’ wildflower-esque creations gave this nature-loving couple exactly the motif they wanted, and it’s a treat for us all too!

Meg and Ned envisioned their Connecticut wedding to be simple and elegant and with their fête being held in the middle of summer indoors, the possibilities were truly endless for them; which meant that Cassi Claire Photography was going to be in photography heaven with the amount of subjects to photograph. Shore Haven Golf Club was transformed with delicate colors and throughout the venue, a soft pale pink with the ever-popular complimentary colors of gold, white, gray, and navy blue were dotted all throughout. The key to really executing a plethora of colors together is to keep the palette simple, starting with an overall, main color that works effortlessly with the rest of them (like what Meg and Ned did with white). Utilize the rest of the color choices and pepper them all over the wedding in various areas. The blooms by Flowers by Justine were perfectly pink and white with a mix of gray planters and tall gold column stands and the groom and groomsmen were dapper in blue. A four-or-five color palette can be daunting, but with a little know-how and creativity, the shades will harmoniously work well together.

Audrey and David had the absolute privilege at marrying at a beautiful French chateau and with the smiles on both of their faces in various photos from Romain Vaucher, their day was beyond joyful and seeped out everywhere. After a proposal in Japan, the two found Chateau de Razay to call their wedding venue. Japan is near and dear to them, so they wanted to bring the colors of a Japanese spring to their wedding, using white and green with blush pink peppered across their decor. Their ceremony was steeped in Madagascan traditions in homage to David’s heritage. The groomsmen wore Malagasy hats and the service was conducted under the Madagascan church. For motif, we love they went simple with their colors; a chateau almost never needs any excessive decor and allowing the chateau’s present decor shine like Audrey and David did will create such a memorable experience.

Init and Eric’s beginning sounds like the sweetest Christmastime Hallmark movie. It’s complete with a serendipitous meeting at a restaurant, followed by a day date all around Detroit that ended with a knowing glance to one another that strongly stated they were made for each other. Swoon. Fast forward to their wedding planning, Init and Eric wanted a strong southern Mediterranean theme woven throughout as both of their families hailed from that region of Europe. Hints of lavender, olive leaves, and simplicity were added to the Colony Club’s Louis XIV ornate interior. Stephanie Kaslly Photography showcased the pops of blush and other differing shades of pink and peach, especially found in Designs by Guzzardo’s florals. The pastel addition maintained a degree of whimsy in the couple’s classic wedding motif. Weddings like these can just never do any wrong.

Elena and Jonathan’s wedding vision was “Grace Kelly does New Orleans” and wow, did they deliver! With classic, timeless elements inspired by her grandmother’s wedding and a palette of soft blues and mustard yellow, their New Orleans wedding at Maison Montegut pays homage to their families while creating a chic and sophisticated atmosphere. Emily Sullivan Events made sure the day went off without a hitch, and Poppy and Mint created florals with vibrant pops of yellow to accent the fresh greenery of the courtyard reception. Their day is beautifully captured by Mon Soleil Weddings!

We love this absolutely classic féte hailing from an illustrious museum in our nation’s capital today. This Washington DC wedding was photographed by one of our favorites, Lisa Blume, and it is elegant and so special and timeless. According to Kelly, she couldn’t take her mind off of the National Museum of Women in the Arts’s design and sweetly, how she could picture traipsing down the staircase to meet her dear dad at the bottom to walk her down the aisle to her beau Jamie (tears!). Speaking of tears, we had to mention this touching detail. Kelly needed to have her grandmothers there in some way, so to commemorate these wonderful women in her life, she shipped in two paintings from North Carolina of them and had her grandmother’s tea cup in her bridal suite. Endearingly, the teacup was a gift her grandmother gave to her sister for her wedding.
