Lily and Kallin’s love story culminated in bringing a fairytale to life with their dreamy castle wedding! They chose Wadley Castle in Utah as the setting for their celebration and were inspired by the venue to create an elegant, yet regal look. After their temple ceremony, Hoopes Events planned a luncheon set in the vineyards for a secret garden feel under the vine canopy. For the reception, they filled the castle with lush cream and blush blooms and twinkling lights to set a magical scene, complete with twin floral covered staircases. Our story has its fair share of laughter and love like another, but all started with the hand of God, and we hope that He will continue to play a role in our future decisions. Kallin met Lily on a Sunday evening in November that night they both agreed that they felt like they knew each other. As the cold months lingered on Kallin’s car broke down several times that winter. Some might say coincidence others might say fate? Without transportation Kallin ended up spending almost every Sunday hitching a ride with Lily and the following days for activities.Over the months she gave him rides while inviting him to devotionals, activities, and they became the best of friends. Lily considered Kallin as just a friend at first, however she noticed how kind and thoughtful he was. Soon after Kallin expressed his feelings for Lily and told her that he’s happier with her than anyone else. Lily took some time and decided to date.
A year later at the bountiful temple He got on his knee and she said “Yes!”
Tell us a little a bit about your wedding (your vision, color, style, and location choices).
After choosing Wadley Castle, we were inspired to fill the castle with floral arrangements and twinkling lights to create an elegant yet royal look. We loved the way the castle truly felt like a fairytale.
Tell us about your attire choices.
My dress was Singularity by Galia Lahav. Originally I wanted a form-fitting dress but fell in love with the details of this dress and made it custom. Suit: Joseph Abboud custom made Tux: Calvin Klein Luncheon dress: Calvin Klein.
What were your favorite parts of the day? (memories and stories)
Seeing her dress for the first time, reading our letters in our groom/bridal suite, seeing the castle decorated, and cutting of the cake.
Do you have any advice for couples planning their weddings now?
Give yourself time, consider hiring a planner and enjoy being engaged. Find your dream venue first, then dresses, and then the rest will fall into place.
