It’s that time of year again where love is in the air and wedding bells are ringing! This summer, Alex and Jon will be tying the knot at the stunning Briarcliff Manor. The scenery alone is worth the RSVP, but knowing Alex and Jon, we can expect nothing short of a great time. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of their special day? It’s sure to be a wedding for the books. So, grab your dancing shoes and practice your best toast because we’re in for a night of romance, laughter, and unforgettable memories at Briarcliff Manor.
How did you meet?
We met through Hinge, Alex had recently signed up for Hinge for the first time, while Jon went on many Hinge dates, and made sure to swipe for Alex after seeing pictures of her perfect dog Joey.
What is your proposal story?
Jon knew that Alex didn’t want a public proposal so he planned on doing it in the apartment. Jon also knew that he wanted to incorporate Alex’s father into the proposal, he passed away on 9/11. Jon started the morning by going to his memorial at WTC and taking a video of himself asking him permission and telling him how much he loved his daughter. Jon then sent the video to Alex, which ended with “now I will propose to you” and Alex said yes in their Apartment with Jon’s brother there to take images of the event.
Tell us a little a bit about your wedding
We wanted to get married in Westchester, as Jon is from the area and Alex had gone to Westchester during weekends as a child. We wanted something colorful and classic in terms of style and vision.

Classic Suit & Wedding Dress. Simplistic.
What was the most important to the two of you while planning? Was there anything that you chose to splurge on or skip?
The most important thing for us while planning was making sure everyone had enough to eat. That was a big factor in us picking our location and package.
What were your favorite parts of the day?
The first look was our favorite part of the day, along with us both taking a step back and taking everything in during the reception and watching everyone having fun

Do you have any advice for couples planning their weddings now?
Only advice would be to have fun, and try not to stress and trust the right people to help get the job done.
Did any of your wedding pros deliver a standout experience?
We loved our wedding photographers and our event planner. They made our lives as easy as possible, to the point where we just had to show up and enjoy ourselves the day of.
