Elegance Transcended: A Timeless Waterside Wedding at a Family Estate

Lucy and Michael met while in the peace corps and have made long distance and a crazy lifestyle work ever since. This wedding day was one of the most amazing weddings I’ve ever been a part of. The style reminded me of an elegant French bistro. The florals and the decor were so perfectly matched. Lucy’s wedding gown gave me elegant French boho vibes. The day was full of love and laughter and it is PERFECTLY displayed in these photos!

Sarah and Scott originally had a large celebration planned, but like many other brides, COVID changed that. In a cautious manner they decided to move forward with their wedding with just their 12 closest family and friends. Despite the small guest count, the design aspect was large. Their outdoor ceremony took place surrounded by banyan trees under the most stunning Chuppah. Reception was followed with the most divine tent with flowing florals and hints of citrus.

With any outdoor wedding ceremony in Florida you have to have a rain plan, which was the case for Taylor and Jacob’s Alfond Inn wedding. What was meant to be a garden style ceremony on the lawn, was moved into the atrium due to weather. But, that didn’t stop the garden vibes.

Sugar, spice, and everything really nice sums up Jamie and Casey’s South Carolina shindig. The Charlotte couple wanted something more quintessentially southern, so they traveled a bit further south into Charleston and fell in love with The Governor Thomas Bennett House. They were spellbound by its classic look; white exterior with black shutters, and its all-in-one manicured garden perfect for the ceremony and reception. This accommodating setup can go with any style or color palette, but we are totally fawning over the soft pastel wedding aesthetic that Ashley Wenz with Boutique Planning made come to life. Reception tables were kept light and airy with dove gray and blush linens from Snyder Rentals. To add some oomph, weathered farmhouse tables sans linens were the ideal complement to add some texture to the space. If you’re a serious foodie and looking for a venue that will do justice to your love for all things delicious, then look no further than an intimate Frankie’s 457 Spuntino wedding. This Brooklyn-based eatery is an unpretentious haven for those who love nothing more than rustic Italian food that’s big on flavor and personality. It’s no wonder then that Jenissa and Chris decided to keep things intimate and cozy for their special day by choosing Frankie’s as their wedding venue. With its warm, welcoming vibe and mouthwatering cuisine, it was the perfect spot to gather their nearest and dearest for a celebration that was big on romance, laughter, and most importantly, great food.

This gorgeous shoot has the perfect blend of coral and blue hues to really make it POP. From the elegant updo, to the grandeur of the cascading florals, this wedding inspiration really knows how to incorporate color and elegance to create a perfect image. We love these colors because they remind us of the softness of spring, and the pop of summer. 

This romantic and intimate editorial shoot is set in a field of wildflowers at the Green Door Gourmet farm in Nashville.  Styled by RSVP Events, the design features hues of pinks, peaches, and yellows, with gold and lilac accents for the perfect romantic summer wedding.  The ceremony setting is a gorgeous floral arbor in the wildflower field, with a table, bar, cake, and a champagne/cocktail cart nearby. 

Sarah & Benjamin wanted guests to feel like they were entering a magical world when they arrived at their wedding and the day was full of awe-inspiring details which made that vision a reality. From getting married at the castle-like Wonderland Cluj Resort, to the horse-drawn carriage fit for royalty, to the show-stopping, jaw-droppingly lush, floor-to-ceiling florals by Elena Bodea – Las Floristas that filled both the ceremony and reception, guests were transported into a fairy tale for the day. Add to that that these two look like they walked out of a magazine themselves, and this may be one of the most dreamy weddings ever! A backdrop of verdant green climbing ivy and dreamy painterly florals would play a muse for any impressionist artist, so it’s no wonder that Indigo Event Design chose the stunning gardens and chateau of Monet Vineyards for this Claude Monet-inspired shoot. BLUE Floral Company created a pastel rainbow of locally-sourced florals to paint the outdoor ceremony space and stunning bouquet that is worthy of Monet’s brush itself. Lush centerpieces of coral and butter yellow peonies, lavender scabiosa, and dusty blush roses sit atop a french blue table, with just the right touch of regal elegance from gold flatware and chargers. Romantic and intimate, these photos by RTFaith Photography prove that even a micro-wedding can be a fairytale wedding too!

Patrice and Nick met in one of the most unique ways we’ve heard of: the pair were production assistants on former TV sitcom “The New Adventures of Old Christine”. They started out as friends and their relationship bloomed from there, ultimately with an inventive engagement proposal that involved Patrice’s boss (read more below about that fun tale). They wanted a wedding that drew in their love for California, Patrice’s Filipino heritage, and an overwhelming elegance and thoughtfulness. Sabine Scherer Photography captured their wedding, from the stunning ceremony at Patrice’s family church, St. Dominic Catholic Church to their Bently Reserve reception. Their reception venue is hailed for its opulence, so to add balance, Mango Muse Events and Violetta Flowers pulled in live trees, organic asymmetrical elements and garlands, and added meaningful orchids and roses (as an homage to family that had passed on). Of course, fun had to be had, so to kick off their reception, the newlyweds partnered up to do a medley dance that ended with hip hop. We love all of the injections of Patrice and Nick’s fun personalities and fascinating lives all throughout their big day.

Hands down, an all-white wedding is the utter classic wedding palette. It will go down in wedding inspiration history as one of our favorites here on EAD. As simple as it is, a white color scheme can make a wedding feel so luxurious and elegant and the varieties are endless. In this captivating Flora Bloom Photography editorial at the bright white Venue 1902, Pearl White Events (how perfect) opted for a soft, creamy white and ran amok with it. The venue is painted in a stark white, so gingerly toning the room down with ivory linen-clad tables dotted with blush and gold details and foliage was an exquisite idea. Punctuating it with a cleanly-done ceremony section with heaps of green space and a brick-lined lounge area makes this styled shoot chic, modern, and timeless to boot.

Nothing says elegance quite like a classic wedding in Connecticut, and Deirdre and Mike’s big day was no exception. With not one, but two ceremonies (because two is always better than one, right?), this couple knew how to make sure their guests were entertained. The attention to detail was unmistakable from the gorgeous floral arrangements to Deirdre’s stunning gown that flowed effortlessly like the bride herself. But don’t let the elegance fool you, this wedding was far from stuffy. The reception was full of dancing, laughter, and all the quirky touches that make a wedding truly memorable. Congrats to the happy couple, and cheers to a lifetime of effortless love!

Bridgerton has taken the world by storm with its stunning aesthetics and enchanting romance, so why not take some inspiration from the show on your big day? Katelyn and Caleb are on board with the idea and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Imagine a modern wedding with all the Bridgerton touches, from elaborate floral arrangements to elegant ballgowns. They could exchange their vows in a grand ballroom, lit up by chandeliers as bright as their love, and dance the night away to classical music and modern jams alike. Who knows, maybe Lady Whistledown herself will make an appearance to report on all the splendid details. Let’s make this Bridgerton-inspired wedding a reality – it’s sure to be the talk of the ton!

Lindsey grew up in Northern Michigan and met her now husband Richard in Leland where they worked at a local lodge in the summer. When they fell in love and were engaged, they knew that Northern Michigan had to be the location for their wedding.

Holly and Jacob chose the beautiful Grandeur House for their fall wedding and the all-white farmhouse was the perfect backdrop to highlight all of the personal details they chose for their event. Dusty blue tablescapes were warmed by centerpieces from A Pocket Full of Posies in hues of rust, burgundy, and orange, reflecting the fall foliage outside, and Holly’s mother used stained glass from churches hit by Hurricane Katrina to make beautiful glass flowers for the tables. Small magnolia and Japanese red maple trees were even placed in the space for the evening but then brought to the couple’s home to be planted as a memory of their big day! They did an amazing job incorporating family heirlooms into their celebration while also creating new heirlooms and Jessica Brown Photography captured each of those details perfectly!

Editorial photographer Lianna from Lianna Marie Photography wanted to achieve one primary objective in this lush-colored wedding styled shoot: to showcase a soft and pastel-colored wedding in the heart of Vegas instead of the flashy swankiness that we all imagine when we think of the Entertainment Capital of the World. Lianna and her team of professional wedding vendors created a fine art wedding in the heart of Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Country Club. They created an oasis of summertime charm, luxe romance, and total elegance. It is undeniable that a huge focal point in this shoot are the sherbet and candy-colored blooms hailing from Layers of Lovely. Peonies, garden roses, spirea, ranunculus, and butterfly ranunculus in every shade of coral and pink under the sun are so pleasing to the eye. Almost instantly, a wedding in Washington, DC has visions of ultimate grandeur. Jen and Nick wed in the early spring at the Four Seasons and they left no stone unturned when it came to the ins and outs of their wedding design. Jen’s favorite blooms are the ever-stunning and lush magnolias and with that color inspiration as their jumping point, they coveted a white/ivory and green wedding with gold accents. Florist Amy from Amy Lauren Floral Designs expressed and continued the color palette by using sumptuous white peonies and white roses along with the glossy magnolia leaves. This wedding has too many impeccable elements to it, both in design and in personality. We’re just glad that Kristen Gardner captured all the splendor in full!

Audrey and David had the absolute privilege at marrying at a beautiful French chateau and with the smiles on both of their faces in various photos from Romain Vaucher, their day was beyond joyful and seeped out everywhere. After a proposal in Japan, the two found Chateau de Razay to call their wedding venue. Japan is near and dear to them, so they wanted to bring the colors of a Japanese spring to their wedding, using white and green with blush pink peppered across their decor. Their ceremony was steeped in Madagascan traditions in homage to David’s heritage. The groomsmen wore Malagasy hats and the service was conducted under the Madagascan church. For motif, we love they went simple with their colors; a chateau almost never needs any excessive decor and allowing the chateau’s present decor shine like Audrey and David did will create such a memorable experience.

We love this absolutely classic féte hailing from an illustrious museum in our nation’s capital today. This Washington DC wedding was photographed by one of our favorites, Lisa Blume, and it is elegant and so special and timeless. According to Kelly, she couldn’t take her mind off of the National Museum of Women in the Arts’s design and sweetly, how she could picture traipsing down the staircase to meet her dear dad at the bottom to walk her down the aisle to her beau Jamie (tears!). Speaking of tears, we had to mention this touching detail. Kelly needed to have her grandmothers there in some way, so to commemorate these wonderful women in her life, she shipped in two paintings from North Carolina of them and had her grandmother’s tea cup in her bridal suite. Endearingly, the teacup was a gift her grandmother gave to her sister for her wedding.

Let’s all take a moment (or two) out of our day to check out this bliss-inducing Janita Mestre wedding. It’s delightfully in the desert, so of course you’re going to spot a few cacti at Galway Downs, but you’re going to see such a dreamy color palette too. Being so close to Valentine’s Day, Stephanie and Alex wanted to evoke love all throughout, so they picked pink as their go-to hue. Big and bright blush and ivory florals by Events by Floral Sensations complemented the eye-catching David’s Bridal mauve bridesmaids’ dresses, and we loved this idea, too. Instead of continuing the soft tones everywhere, shake up the colors like Stephanie and Alex and throw a deep hue in the same color family somewhere that will be seen. Adding it to the bridesmaids’ dresses was a clever touch without overwhelming the couple’s desire to have an airy feel to their wedding day.
