Dreamy Pink and Palm-Filled Florida Wedding

In the sun-kissed ambiance of St. Petersburg, Florida, Dominique and JJ’s wedding unfurled as a stunning ode to love, blending the state’s natural allure with an elegant, garden-party vibe. From their serendipitous first encounter at a quaint local coffee shop to a romantic proposal in the very same spot a year later, their journey to the altar was as enchanting as the destination itself. The Vinoy Renaissance Resort, with its soft pink hues and towering palm trees, provided a breathtaking canvas for their special day, setting a scene that was as vibrant and heartfelt as their own love story. Amidst a decor of lush green and white florals, elegant china, and a spectacular white Chihuly chandelier, Dominique and JJ exchanged vows in a ceremony that perfectly encapsulated Florida’s charm. The day was punctuated with personalized touches, from a monogrammed crest adorning everything from invitations to the dance floor, culminating in a joyful send-off that saw them whisked away in a vintage Rolls Royce, embarking on their next adventure to Jamaica. This was not just a celebration of their union but a testament to the beauty of starting forever in style.

How did you meet?

We met on Hinge in November of 2020 and were inseparable from the start. We had our first date at Kawha coffee shop in downtown St. Pete.

What is your proposal story?

We got engaged at the same spot as our first date a little over a year later.

Tell us a little a bit about your wedding

We wanted garden vibes and lush greens for a daytime feel. My favorite details were the reception decor, as I felt it was really unique. We had these Italian chargers that looked really beautiful on our velvet tablecloths, and our custom monogram was everywhere in sight.

Tell us about your attire choices.

I wore a Jenny Yoo gown purchased at Calvet Couture Sarasota. JJ wore a Calvin Klein tux purchased at Sacino’s.

Did any of your wedding pros deliver a standout experience? Let us know the details!

Jessica from Parties A’ La Carte made our whole weekend so seamless; nobody in the wedding party had any confusion about where we were supposed to be or what we were supposed to be doing. I truly did not have to use my brain once during the whole weekend. I have attended weddings where the guests had no idea when to sit for the ceremony or where to go for the reception, or weddings where the photos are an extremely chaotic process that run super late, and these weddings all had planners. Jessica and her team are experts in making sure the wedding runs as smoothly as possible.
